Seller will say no payment received..
  • I would ring up ebay asap, get your statement from the bank, a copy of all e-mails including the one where the seller gives you his bank details, the invoice sent and e-mail them to ebay.

If the seller has good feedback he could be ill or his internet could be down, not everyone is out to scam people.

This has scam written all the way across it, if it looks even slightly genuine to you then please check out the various 'staying safe' programmes on ebay and also read some of the basic help points on forums like this.

OP, you have very little hope of getting your money back here but to stand even a chance you need to be very pro active, take screen grabs of everything, store all emails safely. The account was probably hacked so the details on it won't relate to the person who you sent the money to, and thta is going to be your problem as you can't do anything, not even small claims, unless you have a geographical address for the person who actually accepted your money.

I would also draw regulars attention to the fact that the OP has not been back to get a response yet even though this is 'urgent' so be careful how much time you spend responding here untill the OP gets back to give us an update, if at all.

Paypal Account not working = Alarm bells

Asking buyer to pay directly into bank = Alarm Bells

Refusing to contact buyer - Alarm bells

If this is not a scam I will run Naked around my nearest Loch and its a very chilly day here.
