Lynda, I think you should post this as a separate thread. The problem I see with this is that you may not get the balance of the value in 18 months time. What security will you have? You really need a first charge on a decent chunk of propety to secure this, but they probably won't give you that as they want to mortgage your house themselves. I certainly wouldn't want to be making an unsecured loan of 1/3rd the value of my house to some unknown limited company. Sorry. You might be better off to drop the asking price on your property for a quick sale or put it in an auction.

    Good call

You don't need to add the allegedly there. You are perfectly entitled to say that he is coming across as an idiot, and it won't be actionable. On the whole, people who threaten legal action for trivial comments on a forum like this certainly do come across as an idiot.

I know - I forgot the smiley - sarcasm and irony don't always come across well on internet post I'm afraid!

Brightened up an rather dreary day otherwise though!

To date no monies have exchanged hands with IPG and will not be until the deal is completed, in essence they are acting now as an Estate Agent.

But if the money is to ensure no one pulls out before the deal is complete why would they pay anything at completion?

OK - seen the first post and the company details. The new company (not the one that was posted) set up by the same director in May 2010 is under company number 07252068 "Invest P G Ltd" .
As with all new start up companies - beware of paying any monies up front. Hopefully its all genuine and everyone will be happy of course

I'd be asking myself how a company set up only 1 month ago can claim on their web site "We have an unparalleled track record for growth, offering high returns on Property Investment."

Everything I've read so far about this company flashes huge big warnings signs to me that this is one to be avoided.

Cos it's true! If they said "we have a LONG track record of being superduper" then that'd be wrong.

Isn't it amazing how all of these Investment Property Group shills have popped up all of a sudden? They seem to be doing amazingly well for a company that's only been around for a couple of months...
