In our case, nothing ventured nothing gained. You cant tell me you havent gone for a long shot at anytime, especially in the property market.

The veneer of respectiability you gave these charlatans by defending them on these forums may well have done just enough to convince some other poor soul desperate to sell their property that IPG were genuine, and paid their up-front fees to them.

To sound as sneering as you do, everyone is responsible for their own actions, I have nothing to reproach myself for, neither have those that have paid the monies.

You on the other hand must take a hard look at oneself and decide if you feel comfortable at sneering at peoples misfortunes

I again state this site has a good place in society, but there are individulals who think of themselves as a type of oracle and talk a lot of crap and nonsense about subjects they actually knew nothing about. NO ONE KNEW ABOUT IPG, but you obviously did - how did you know and no one else did? Well done you!!!!!!!!

I've been following this thread and my reaction to this particular poster's diatribes is that he resents the fact that the IPG scam was too good to be true. "NO ONE KNEW ABOUT IPG" - maybe, but it was obvious to most people who read this thread that it was all a clever con. Obvious to most people - except perhaps those who were desperate to believe that it was true...
It's a pity that someone who was quite possibly saved from making an expensive mistake can't be more gracious about the sensible advice that was given on here and leave it at that!

Sorry matey but you have this thread all wrong - well me anyway. There was no mistakes at all made by us, we knew that this could have been a no-goer from practically day one, we were waiting to see how it worked out. Most of the advice was not "sensible" advice, it was drivvell, rating about the company being calle "PIG" etc. A lot of people have been conned but some (I know for certain) have not as they have done as myself and others did, ask for the monies to be paid upon completion. Granted some may have taken their properties off the market due to the offers being made but others have not so in actuality, they and us have lost nothing, just a little bit of time and their blood pressure going up with the anicdotes which are being placed on this thread.

Sneering? Not me! Why is it 'sneering' to warn people of a potential con? You defended a bunch of charlatans in the face of numerous warnings from other members of the forum, and even when other poor souls who had the misfortune to deal with IPG were posting that their dealings with them had turned sour and were faced with the prospect of losing their money.

Actually I have never fully defended IPG, when others had said they had lost money - I said I hadnt, due to the deal with the company. Others said that they had, shall we say altercations with certain members of staff @ IPG - I said I hadnt, they had been polite to me. Where is that defending them??????? I have just documented what happened.

Perhaps you would like to explain to everyone reading this thread why, on the 26th June, you systematically edited every post on this thread you had made up that point, removing the entire content of each and every post.

That actually wasnt aimed at you - it was another poster being quoted. You are so desparate to keep your nose involved in this that you have to claim someone elses quotes as your own.

You had nothing to "warn" me about but you know this company so very well that I needed warning...... Well done you for finding every last detail out about IPG, next you will be saying you know where they are living.
If it wasn't aimed at me then why name me?

The fraud happened exactly how many members of this forum predicted it would. You don't need to be a psychic to predict an advance-fee fraud. All that is left is for victims of these criminals to place their hope in the police.

This discussion is dead. You are only keeping it alive because you must have the last word, and perhaps guilt at your gullible involvement. If you can't accept you were wrong that is your problem. Google brought you this far, I suggest you search anger, guilt and denial.
    Been away for a while.

Inforeq, what was the name of the solicitor that IPG used, and have you passed this info to the Police? The solicitor should have carried out money laundering checks before acting for them, so that's a tangible lead the Police certainly could follow up rather easily.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
