    Good for you Carole.

Keep your spirits up, and kick 'em (legally) where it hurts! :)
  • I had an offer for my house last week. I didn't pay for the desktop valuation as apparantly the buyer paid for it. Then they asked me for the £1119 fee which no one had ever told me we needed to pay up front. It reeked of scam!!! I wouldn't have done it without a solicitor even if I had of had the money. Now just trying to get my HIP back.

How did they get in contact with you? Who came to see your property? Did you get any paperwork?

Hi , well guess what no money refunded by this lot, absolutely no further communication and of course nothing in writing. Our non delivered recorded delivery letter can be officially now be recorded as lost from 3 Jul. I still await the success stories from the various posters from the early days on here. Who has actually sold a house through this IPG bunch? If you have successfully concluded a deal then do tell of your stories to confirm that their "business model" does work. Balanced thread and all that.

stupidly i took BEN WATSON sat face value and althoughni had doubts it still seemed plausible (like kirstyy and phil on location , location) welll 2 month down the line the buyer has changed from Mr Smythe to Capello! and as he ius goinmg on holiday i could 'fast track' for £1,000.........i said 'no' then RYAN from legal depart, ment became slightly threatening saying i would lose the sale AND my commitment fee!
they are supposed to be REGULATED BY the OFT ,,,,,,BUT....SURELY THIS IS A POLICE MATTER?
Can anyone explain why this is not total out andout fraud?
How do I/WE get recompense or refunds
thieves by any other name......pickpockets are brought to justice, why not these? they are no better.

You had your doubts, but still handed over £1000.
    Why?

we may be called 'fool' by others , but i say trusting.
honest folk rarely see a reason to cheat others.

I have a lot of sympathy with you there, actually, and yes you should involve the Police. ASAP!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
