hello its Cattikina again, I have skimmed through the recent posts since my last one, and people still seem to be very sceptical understandably.
I hope it does go well for those that are still in business with IPG, but in my case unfortunately for reasons I cant understand, I had tried to get them to agree for the 1199 fee to be taken at the completion of the sale, but they resolutely refused and needed my 'commitment' upfront. A real shame because they have agreed to it with other people before me as other posters have said on this forum.
I had to send them a final email today to tell them I couldnt go ahead therefore. And to get in touch with me if they change their minds.
I believe that if there was a real sale here, they would do anything to get this commission, and it would not make any difference whether they had the commission upfront or at the end of the sale.
Oh well, on to the Estate agents!0 -

Strange that they didn't agree to payment on completion of the sale, Inforeq seems to have had no problem persuading them to do this."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

Yeah, I know, i was fully expecting them to agree to my terms because Inforeq, and another person on here I think, had done the same.
Maybe they have had too many requests for this, and decided to put their foot down on it.
At first when I asked them to accept the fee at the sale completion, they went back to the buyer to see if he would pay my fee to get the ball rolling. They said the buyer refused, unsurprisingly. I said to them "there is another way of doing it obviously, for you to accept the fee at the end", but they just would not have it.
I'll let you all know if they come back to me again in the future.0 -
They want their fees up-front so there is no risk to them. Carole37's post from last night that is no longer available showed that this outfit have no intention of providing any refunds, using the flimsiest of excuses to refuse the request."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Sounds like you may have had a lucky escape.0 -
if you google 'investment property group', this thread is on page 2 - perhaps this thread is doing some good in the fact that it's making people a little more aware of what might be going on with this company & they're stipulating no deal unless payment only due upon completion...0

Maybe we should immediately quote any post by new member customers of Investment Property Group.
That way there is a permanent record if this turns out to be a scam.Been away for a while.0 -
I think there is probably more than enough info for sensible people to make their own mind up now don't you think?0

To update, I still have not received the promised refund. There are obviously a few people on here who haven't paid up to this proposed arrangement. Good on you. I cannot comment further at this stage but believe me I thank you all so much for your very helpful posts.
Most action advised already in motion in any case before I even posted on here, but a few helpful hints put forward I am so grateful. I'm from a semi legal background and obviously can use a PC. What about the poor old folk out there that can't and could be taken in by companies who claim they can buy their house for more than it is actually worth?
Still waiting for this thread to post some success stories anyway.0
