Would like to add here (as an edit), Carole has gone silent on here - has she gotten her money back????
If IPG do refund Carole it would make people consider that maybe the whole thing isn't a scam after all.Every generation blames the one before...

In my opinion you are all a bunch of tools on here.
There is a simple answer. Tell your contacts at IPG about this discussion. Then they can come on here and explain their business model to us tools, and their paying customers.Been away for a while.0 -
I am under the impression that Kemp House is a managed building (such as Regis), therefore their telephones are answered by a main switch and the post etc is managed by the same company - the management company could have a differing postcode to Kemp House (just hazzarding a guess).
So... which address is on the contracts?0 -

I strongly advise you to start recording all calls to and from this company and to talk to Trading Standards/Consumer Direct. I know they cannot help much but if there are enough questions, they might close them down.
Also you need all the evidence you can if this ever went to court. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Carole - I don't know where you stand legally, but it would be a good idea for you to discuss your position with trading standards or with a solicitor (trading standards are free so would be a good place to start).
Inforeq - what you're saying, then, is that IPG offer a service whereby you can give them a 6 month option to buy your property (or bill you £1200 if you refuse to sell it to them) at what is either at or a bit below market price? This seems incredibly one-sided (if anyone would like to give me a similar option on their property, please do get in touch). Of course you can enter into a contract like this if you want, but what's in this for the customer?

Despite previous assurances from “R” in the legal dept, it still would appear there will definitely not be any refund from said company despite their early assurances to this effect
Carole, you previously said "IPG did say that if at any point we were uneasy about the transaction they would refund in full" and they now appear to be reneging on that.
If you haven't already I would write a Letter Before Action sent to the Registered Company Address giving them 14 days to refund you in full.
If they don't refund you then you could choose to issue a claim in the county court, due to the amount you could actually do it at Money Claim Online. I believe the cost would be £70, only you can determine whether this is worth doing based on what documentation you have and how confident you are of what was said and when. The basis of your claim should simply be that the agreement was that you could request a refund in full and they are not now honouring that.
If IPG dispute your claim then the matter will be transferred to your local court, not their's.
Assuming your claim was successful IPG would be mad not to settle as a CCJ recorded at companies house would cost them far more than £1199 in lost business.
The danger is that they really are scammers and simply disappear before your claim can be enforced.
I actually thought they might have refunded you anyway, anyone searching Google for the company will find this thread and most people won't bother reading all of it but just look at the last couple of posts - IPG missed an opportunity for those posts to be positive with you confirming that they had refunded you.Every generation blames the one before...

Have stated in writing that require a verbal response to their statement that we are now not entitled to a refund. Our own postal copy still not recorded as delivered. Why is that- bit difficult though being sent to a "virtual office address" 152-160 City Road London. Every contact, phone call been logged and the limited paperwork we have from them being assessed too.0

What had happened to the long post from Carole37 about her refund (or the lack of it) that I read here last night???"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Good question.Vincit omnia veritas.
Posts 202 (24-Jun) and 278 (28-Jun) accurately describe how to efficiently move this on for a result. TS/solicitors are the slow/expensive way to go.
Carole, you’ve spent more time posting here (and removing) than it would’ve taken to prepare the CC papers. Conclusion: start posting in Latin...
The "virtual office address" claim on their website that they ‘sign for’ deliveries and post incidentally. Unfortunately the Royal Mail seem very remiss in getting mere Signed For post signed for nowadays. It’s all too much work, they just want the money. Special Delivery is the only one I find works reliably now.
The regular removal of posts by various low-post posters along the way is suspicious too, and then the posters wonder why their intent here is doubted.0
