Thankyou all for all your kind words and support, it mans alot to me.
I dont know what to say as you have all given me some excellant advice and support to help me. Thank you0 -
Maria,
I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, but get in touch with your local branch of the Royal British Legion. They help families who have been in the forces, and they may be able to help you with your priority debts, such as your rent and council tax. They should be listed in your local phone book.
As for hubby, has he been to see the doctor about depression? It sound like he's burying his head in the sand. If he's anything like my hubby (also ex-forces), he'll be blaming himself for the mess you're in and trying to ignore it as much as he can. Get him to the doctors if you can. It also sounds like you could do with some support yourself - have you got any family near you?
Try to keep your chin up - you're doing a fantastic job, but let's face it, no-one is Superwoman and you can't keep everything going on your own. OH needs to realise that you're doing your damndest and that you need some help.
Also, speak to either CCCS or Payplan, or your local citizens advice bureau. You need some professional help in sorting out your debts, income and expeniture and any benefits you might be entitled to, such as Housing Benefit.
Big hugs though sweetie (((((( ))))))))))), keep us all posted on how you're doing.BCSC # 9 and proud! :beer:0 -
Forgot to mention - cancel the school dinners and do her a packed lunch instead. It's cheaper, healthier and you can see when she comes home what she's eaten and what she's left. Can you get OH to do her lunchbox for her in a morning or the night before and kjeep it in the fridge?BCSC # 9 and proud! :beer:0

((((((Maria))))) sorry I can't give you any practical advice, other than to second what others have already said.
You have been so strong already to cope with everything that's happened to you, other people would have collapsed by now, so you are quite right to ignore your MIL, who I agree with the other person who said it is being defensive because she must realise how hopeless her son is being at the moment.
I also second the idea of getting your OH to the docs because he sounds very like mine was a couple of months ago. Mine has been to the doc and got tablets (initially) and counselling for his depression and he is now a lot better. Going through your handbag and opening your post sounds like he's feeling shut out of your life but that isn't your fault so don't let him tell you it is.
Your OH should be able to claim JSA six weeks after the date he left his job, don't let him hang around til January, he'll feel a lot better if he is earning. If he's spending money on booze and cigarettes, he needs to earn it. I finally accepted that a couple of months ago myself, and now, if there's no spare money, my OH doesn't get his fags.
Hope everything feels a bit easier now, the people here are all so helpful and supportive. Lots of Hugs and prayers for you
PS If I was a 12-14, I'd be jumping up and down as well! If he doesn't like how you are, tell him to find someone else to carry him through life, don't waste yourself on him lass!DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

I think we'd all like to know what frame of mind she's in, and whether her hubby is still a pain:D0
