Ok.
My thoughts.
Water rates £700 a year?! Why not look at a water meter? It seems to cut a MASSIVE amount of peoples bills.
This may not be possible to do this however why not try looking at swapping your gas/electric providers. If you use the MSE links you can get £15 cash back (not a lot but is cash!). You will probably find you need to clear your acounts with em first thoughSave a life. Learn emergency first aid.
Who knows what might happen tomorrow or who may need help.
Contact your local college or first aid provider to enquire about free courses in your area.
Already a first aider? Have you updated your first aid to the new 2005 guidelines? Most providers should now be training the new (and more effective) CPR protocols, see if they are offering refresher courses near you.0 -
Hi Maria,
A further thought regarding eye tests - if you don't want to approach your employer or, for some reason, they make a fuss about it, I usually get my eyes tested at D&A and I don't have to pay as both my parents had glaucoma.
When I went for my first test with them I mentioned it - no-one checked up on it.0 -

Hi Maria,
Do you still need school uniform? I have some grey pinafore dresses that my daughter has outgrown. They are worn, but still in good condition. You are very welcome to them if you would like them.
I just discovered this thread for the first time tonight. I think you are marvelous. You should be proud of yourself.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -

Hi Maria, have read the thread and my heart goes out to you. You are in a Catch 22 at the moment. One thought that has occurred to me though, if the Army gets wind of the fact that your hubby owes money/is in debt they can make life really difficult for him. I know this from previous experience in my emplyment (not debt colection but dealing with a soldier who was uninsured driving). Dont pay anything towards the debt your hubby has incurred - that is his problem , let him get off his backdside and earn the money to pay it. Also DO NOT give him a penny to spend on fags and booze/socializing etc. You are flogging yourself working 2 jobs to fund his lifestyle? It beggars belief. Concentrat and yourself and your child, who incidentally is luck to have a fantastic mum like you an you are surely a good role model for her gicing her a good work ethic (unlike her father). Finally how would you feel if your daughter ended up in the same kind of situation as you? What would you advise her to do? If it was me I would get the hell of out of there and stuff your in-laws - you do not need them, you have people on here who care greatly about you and you shuld not forget that. By the way sorry I cannot help with the uniform - my daughter is 8 and her old uniform was given away long ago, but if you would like to pm me your address I will gladly send you the money to buy the remaining items of uniform your daughter needs (or buy them and post them to you if your think your hubby may use the money for something else). XX0
