Yes but I had a Norwich and Peterborough basic account which includes a cheque book so just sent in a cheque from them and it worked. Just open one of these accounts (it only took a week by post) then apply for the citibank account.

That's excellent news, particularly about the debit card. I remember when I had a Solo card, and the trouble I had finding places that accepted it.

Clydesdale Maestro card came in today, for my under-16s account :eek:

Shame I won't be staying with them much longer......

hi!, i applied for citibank, and i got refused even for a basic account, ( but i do have my yorkshire bank account with switch/maestro card. love it and its accepted everywhere.

Well just to update, I'm three months into an IVA and I have recieved a letter today, along with my Visa Delta Debit Card to say that my Citibank bank account has been opened

We want to change banks after poor service in relation to the handling of our charges complaint, so this will be one we consider, just one thing though....
What are Yorkshire banks charges??!!
