Ooo, you lot can't half chat. Meant to say the other day Cheery that I didnt realise you came for Ellesmere Port. Used to work there regularly!
Now I agree about the lodger might leave earlier, did he mention anything, perhaps you could go along the lines of, well I dont snore but I do tend to shout out in my sleep:) Do it more often and he may feel the need to move on sooner. It did make me giggle.
Between you and Missy you have put me to shame. I have so much to do. So tonight, after walking Moo, I am not turning the computer on. REALLY. Only problem with that is you lot rabbit so much it then takes me ages to catch up again. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Well done Missy!

I know the feeling Cherisong about us all rabbiting so much and it taking ages to catch up! :rotfl: Perhaps if we ALL turned our computers off and got on with something useful there wouldn't be as much for us to catch up on??
:rotfl: Hmm.
As for the lodger, no he didn't mention anything :rotfl: It would probably have been better if he had! Then we could all have laughed :rotfl: Ah well. I'm sure it would probably get rid of him quicker, but I'm not sure I could bring myself to recreate that kind of a palava knowing he was listening :rotfl: :rotfl: Although if he's got any sense he'll realise that that's the kind of thing that goes on when he's NOT there, and therefore by being there, he's er, curtailing the over exuberance if nothing else :rotfl: Not sure he's that aware though
Sadly though, there doesn't seem to be any signs of even house hunting going onAt the end of a month (a week on Friday), Mr Daffs will have a word if there's no signs still. 'Stay for as long as you need to while sorting out a new house' is NOT, after all, the same as 'stick around indefinitely with no effort to find anywhere else'. Anything I've suggested so far has been dismissed (doesn't want to live with landlord, wants a room away from everyone else, doesn't want anyone too tidy, too young, too posh, too quiet, can't afford to live alone, doesn't want to move (even a mile or two!) out of the area....). The only time he mentioned it, he said he'd tried to register for a house share website, but the computer crashed, so he didn't, and he didn't think they'd have anything suitable anyway. Seems far more intent on buying a car at the minute (didn't have one for years, and then got quite used to using ex-girlfriend's all the time). So sadly, I do think it's going to come down to Mr Daffs having a conversation with him, which won't be nice for anybody.
Ah well. It's a difficult one - part of me doesn't want to be unwelcoming, but this was only ever meant to be a temporary help for a mate, we don't want or need a lodger! (He did offer us a contribution to the house, but Mr Daffs (wisely) turned him down - didn't want it to become a kind of semi formal/longer term thing rather than just a favour).
Oh dear, I really do feel bad about this! He's a lovely bloke, and a good friend to both of us, and I'm kind of losing site of that in all this! Lots of mixed feelings about it at the minute, as you can tell!I really, really don't want to be unwelcoming, and I'm more than happy to help him out. I just can't help feeling that if it were me, my priority would be to find somewhere else asap - even if that meant moving in with people I don't know, moving into a slightly different area etc.
Maybe I need to visualise him nice and happy in his new place in the next couple of weeks0 -
Don't you pipe down at all Missy! You witter on here as much as you like
It'd be pretty dull if it was just me sat here talking to myself! :rotfl: As for business cards, I never know the answers to these kind of questions! I wonder whether, if you've not got the money right now, and if you weren't really intending to get a business started just yet, could you make some of your own business cards? Perhaps just ten or so, prettily drawn (or printed)? Won't be as professional, but perhaps if they were more flyers than cards and you could do them yourself, just to have a few to hand out, it wouldn't cost so much? Or perhaps if you're only doing this one event, make sure your phone number is displayed somewhere, and then buy business cards with the profit?

maybe you do daffs.
Bless you it's a difficult position to be in. I'm sure if Mr Daffs has a quiet word in his ear it will all be fine, he's a man and you know men don't really think of these things.
Hugs honeybunch.

hmm good thinking daffs... might just do that. and thank you for letting me whitter on, very much appreciated. my diary's very quiet and yours is all lovely and sparkly so I prefer it over here, think I might set up camp
Do you need another lodger, actually on second thoughts......?:rotfl:
