Our tea pot is red and enamel
But I must confess to mostly making tea in mugs!
Anyway, having a rather:rotfl: moment this morning
Mate-who's-staying went away for the weekend yesterday, we behaved, er, like a couple who've got their own house to themselves for a night after a fortnight of having a friend staying, er, rather enthusiasticallySent Mr Daffs down to make tea this morning... and then heard mate coming down from the attic, having come back last night unexpectedly early
:rotfl:
:rotfl: Am alternating between laughing uproariously and looking rather shamefaced!
:rotfl:
Thing is, I came downstairs earlier this morning, noticed some extra food in the fridge, meant to mention it to Mr Daffs, then got, er distracted :rotfl: If I'd have mentioned it, we would have figured it out, and none of this would have happened (or at least it would have happened rather more discretely!:rotfl: :rotfl:)
Anyway, off to the knitting and craft fair now

Oh, walked into the kitchen after reading that and thought - OMG I LIED..........................
I do have one, more of a comedy teapot that a real one! I made it a long time ago, in a place, far far way. In my yoof, its huge and only used for tea once, its definitely a put the world to rights but don't take things too seriously type of a pot.

Feel free to laugh at me, it is rather amusing! :rotfl: Just keep cringing and having flashbacks to what was actually, er, said, er, and wondering whether there was anything remotely incriminating

Oh dear my lovely - that's kept me giggling all afternoon whilst out weedingI do like weeding!
Anyway, on a similar note, trying to negotiate a bedroom in your OWN house with teenagers without coming out and saying 'um, its because we want a bit of privacy now and then, um, you know, um......' (ie the furthest away from you lot bedroom in the house cos occasionally, well privacy is needed)
I had to come up with 'um I prefer the view from that room', when negotiating with my DD for my current bedroom, leaving her in a room downstairs and my ds in a room the other side of the house - much to the stiffled sniggers of my OH who really wasn't helping by asking why on earth I preferred the view in THAT room.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Comedy teapot - um yeah, nightclass in pottery - several weeks later everyone left with a box full of their own creations - me - um I had a comedy teapot - its heavy but usableTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

No, I reckon it's GREAT as a teapot! :T
And oh dear Fay, now you're making me laugh :rotfl: :rotfl: Gosh, I just can't imagine having teenagers in the house   And I can just imagine your OH laughing and laughing while asking you about the view :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well, I'm not having an altogether productive day today, but it is quite cheeryPottered off to the craft fair, some fleeces and wool for spinning - seemed bizarrely spinning oriented?? Interestng though. But NO CAKES at the refreshment stall! None! Butties, and a few scones, but NO CAKES! Had to come home to get over the shock :rotfl:
Soup for lunch, and have been chatting and pottering in the garden. The last of the tree is bagged up now, so I can see what's what, and start planning for the future (although now stepping over about 8 large bin bags until they get collected in a couple of weeks!) Also dug up a blatantly mouldy courgette plant, and harvested broad beans, spinach, red rainbow chard, couple of tomatoes, and a big load of rhubarb for a crumble late :T :T (oops, what was that I said about no cakes??) And some cheery flowers for the kitchen and living room :T
Just having tea, then going to make a start on some PhD for an hour or two. Also want to do a bit of mind map/life planning too this evening! :T
Also been thinking - when I started this job me and the girl I work with couldn't decide what days we'd work - Mon/Tues (my preference as I go to booze club on a Tuesday) or Tues/Wed (her preference - for not getting up on a Monday morning!). So we alternateSitting here on a Sunday afternoon and not having to go to work tomorrow I must say is great! So after christmas, I can see a little swap coming on...
