Blimey I'm tired!!
Had a lovely evening last night, gig was as usual, very cheery indeed, and party had the theme of a little French traditional music festival lots of people used to go to years ago (but aren't going to this year) - so it had a french 'market' set up in the kitchen, a dance floor in the living room, and a tea tent upstairsVery jolly indeed.
Didn't get to bed til 4.30 though  and lay watching a blackbird singing on the chimney through the skylight
Been to the WI, and quickly round the charity shops, and lay on the sofa dozing and reading a 40p-from-charity-shop magazine for an hour. Going to wake Mr Daffs up now, and have a mini burst of activity, before probably dozing again - Mr Daffs has a gig tonight, and I've got 2 parties to go to  <yawn>
Need to eat something that isn't easter egg! :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Its a hard life :rotfl: :rotfl: all that partying and eating easter eggs :rotfl: :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
It is indeed a hard life KC :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Just made even harder by going on a clothes shopping spree :rotfl: I bought a bright red linen skirt, a black vest top with lace and sequins, and a black t shirt with little red roses on - for a grand total of £8 :rotfl: My kind of spree:rotfl:
Still haven't sorted out the car - best get on the case! :eek:0 -
I love the sound of those :j:j:j2023: the year I get to buy a car0

thanks KC
Right, car is FINALLY sorted, how are these things to bloody difficult?? Anyway, it's got a bed in it, and blinds all the way round that *hopefully* won't fall off in the night like they did to me last week :rotfl: Not too bad in a campsite - but if we're sneakily sleeping on the street it's not very good!
Now I have approximately 22 minutes to have a shower, get changed, write directions to where Mr Daffs will be to pick him up, write directions to where we're going afterwards, and get to the first party  Best get a shift on! See I *knew* I should have done all this first and THEN had a nap, but, oh no, it was insisted that I nap first (and somehow I appeared to be the only one who stopped napping until recently...). I'm the only one in now so no excuses!
Oh, and need to put diesel in the car again too - pah!

Cheery - I find myself running a workshop in a town very near you (literally). If you have any ideas on a venue that I can use for a 11 hour stint (9am - 8pm) ... and yes, you read that right, it is a 10hour workshop!!! t'would be very helpful.
Needs to be comfortable, easily accessible my public transport, with free or cheap car-park and somewhere where they will let me bring nice biccies and fruit for punters (oh and lunch or a good lunch stop somewhere close) ... not a lot and it is on Sat 4th June
Thanks in advance

So I somehow went missing for some time and haven't been on here in far too long! Now I have many pages to catch up on! I'll get there but just wanted to say that i'm glad you're still here!0

Thanks hanb! Hope you didn't go missing too far!
NL! Venue... let me think! Depends what kind of thing you're after - plenty of places if you want to pay decent moneyOr were you thinking the village hall make-your-own-tea type of place? Just been to a party at Wadsley village hall (there's a pub over the road
), and had lovely meetings in this place a few months ago. Obviously all the usual hotel type things. Walkley Community Centre (Fir Street if you google it) is always cheery and dead cheap, and they're lovely there - easily accessible by public transport, and plenty of little cafes close by (and the world's most fabulous off licence
). I'll have a think if none of those are any good!
