    Absolutely - there's a whole world of knitted dishcloths out there VL! I have several, and am actually taking part in a dish cloth swap - this one's heading off to southern USA somewhere near the border of Mexico :rotfl:

    Hi Cheery - how did you get involved in that? Quite fancy swapping a dish cloth, perhaps you could enlighten me....:D

    ETA I do realise you don't mean swapping a manky old dishcloth for someone elses! I presume its making and swapping !

    NOTHING MY A***E!!!! You havent stopped all weekend. And I do think dishclothes winging their way to America near the border of Mexico is very exciting. Mind you I am biased. I love Mexico (been there 5 times and I nearly went to live there ) it is such a beautiful place, as for near the border I do believe that is, in fact, Mexico as was stolen by the Americans so I will believe that your dishcloth is speeding its way Gonzales style to Mexico Hondolay, Hondolay!

    I know! :eek: :eek: Will take dishcloth on train to finish this morning. Was all impressed at being up early enough to have a quick peek in here and a cuppa - and now am remembering why I don't because I'm in serious danger of having to rush! :eek: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Right then...

    Just been doing a bit of internet banking :T :T and have transferred a few things round... Patchwork fund gone up a tiny bit :j :j I'm nearly at 26% of the total! :j :j

    I keep getting all muddled up because the university STILL hasn't asked me for those fees! :mad: I'm torn between wanting to ring up and tell them to take them off me, and wanting to keep quiet in case they've forgotten all about it :rotfl: Inevitably they won't have - might just ring them on Wednesady.

    (the sensible thing would be to put them in the savings account, of course!)

    <oops, off for a walk, back in a bit...>

    Re the fees, if it were me I think I'd stash them away somewhere where they will earn some interest, and then sit tight and wait to be asked. if they *have* forgotten about them, then yes, eventually they will come and ask, but until then you may as well be earning a smidge of interest out of babysitting their money for them! ;) Seems little point in parting with the cash until you have to though!

    I tend to agree. Dont spend them though because you can guarantee as soon as you do they will ask for them. Well done on 26% of the budget. You are so focused.

    Do you have any plans to get that weekend away together with Mr Daffs soon?
