Oh dear me  :rotfl: Glad that you are feeling cheerier this morning. I've never tried Flylady but if it helps then go for it.
Fingers crossed for the drill turning up.. hopefully neither of you are like Mr Squizz who has accidentally thrown out part of the oven and part of the hoover recently :rotfl: and it will turn up somewhere!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Fingers crossed that the drill turns up before you have to buy a new one.0

 No, neither of us are like that - hardly ever throw anything away - that's the problem :rotfl: :rotfl: I suspect what's happened is that we've had it in the middle of the kitchen or something, then had some people coming round, and have just shoved it somewhere out of the way temporarily, and then some other things have got piled on top of it...
Although for some reason, I can't get it out of my head that we didn't actually bring it home in the first place! I remember looking at it in friend's kitchen, and we have the ear defenders that go with it at our house, but I don't remember the drill actually being here :rotfl:
Anyway, gah, I'm thinking about it again now! :rotfl: :rotfl:
And as for the kettle - yes, a pan is perfectly adequate (although not quite as easy - which is probably no bad thing! :rotfl:)0 -

So last night was lovely :j :j Friend got here, we had a cuppa, then parcelled him off up to bed, and me and Mr Daffs went off to a little party :j Saw some frogs in a back garden pond, very cheery, and had some very lovely chilli, and some rosemary tea (remind me to make that myself! :j) Also potentially arranged sewing for tonight too :j :j
Today will be cheery too - I'm on holiday, rather than on strike todayI'm popping to a friend's for a cuppa at 10am, then playing with the pneumatic drill for a bit, then picking up a pick axe, and getting the whole path out :j :j Then I might see if I can move the magnolia (thanks to Pippi's excellent text-a-gardener advice :j :j), and start thinking about building a wall!
Hope you're all in for a cheery one :j :j
Cheery - Page 150 - will this help to jog your memory as to where the drill might be. Now I realise its a pneumatic drill I find it even :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: ier that you cant find it. Sorry shouldn't laugh I am sure you are going to find it though. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Thanks cherisong :rotfl: Gosh, that was ages ago, no wonder he wants it back
Still none the wiser though! :rotfl: But will ring friend who stayed over and see if he can remember! :T
Yep, it's not small!!! :rotfl: not a full scale road-fixing drill, but the box has got to be 18 inches square I reckon  So there's a limited number of places it can be! Pah!0 -
And how on earth did you find that post??? Can't you find my drill with the same searching abilities??? :rotfl:0

Would give it a go if I were closer. I just vaguely remembered that you posted something about not getting the drill and it was around the time that you was going dancing so I just randomly chose a page to look at and it was the first post
I am not a stalker - honest

I believe you cherisong, thousands wouldn't
Got your parcel today, by the way! :T :T Thank you ever so much, it's lovely
Well, I'm finishing work for the day now <yawn> I had a weekly list, which I'm afraid to say I didn't finish. I did get most things done though! :T But a lesson - the longer/bigger stuff was pushed out by smaller easier-to-do tasks...
So - I've just spent 15 minutes making a mind map of my list for work next week :T and have written a smaller list for Monday too. To save me faffing around with the smaller jobs, I've got one piece of paper, which has all the info I need for each smaller job written next to it (phone numbers, what I need to know etc). Hopefully that'll mean I can just launch straight into things without messing around - we'll see. I'm working at home Monday and Tuesday next week - that'll be a full 5 days on the trot  Will be very ready to be back in the office on Wednesday! :rotfl:
Anyway, stopping for the weekend now :j :j Going to go for a little run, then a shower, then I have FOUR parties and a gig to go to this weekend!  No idea how I managed that! Gig and one party tonight, so best pull my finger out! One of the parties is in Hull too, so a quick trip to see Mr daffs' family while we're over there (not been since well before Christmas, oh dear!).
And a bit of gardening. And a bit of housework. And, of course, some drill searching...0 -
Guess what?
FOUND IT
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Propped up behind a mirror against the side of the sofaSo sorry cherisong, not in the cellar after all that :rotfl:
Going to take it round tonight before we lose it again :rotfl: :rotfl: Glad I don't have to spend theweekend looking for it! :j :j
In other news... got breakdown cover paperwork - which tells me we're entering into a loan agreement!  I paid upfront, a one off thing, so absolutely NOT! But they're shut now - will ring tomorrow.0 -
Glad the parcel turned up. Not what I intended to send but when I came across it I thought of you. Hope that you can make use of it.
Glad the drill poked its mischievous little head out again.
Hope you enjoy burning the candle at both ends. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
