Ok, so I've done the Amazon parcel-posting, done the subscription-renewal posting, photocopied the teacosy recipe for Missymoo (although haven't actually *posted* it yet even though I photocopied it in the post office, for tedious reasons involving a lack of sellotape). Have done lunch - twice And had several cups of tea.

And now I've found myself rather reluctantly at my new desk in an acceptably tidy bedroom, Mr Daffs doing musical things downstairs, Lodger out at his new course, and a list of PhD-related things I really MUST do.

So, timer on, heads down I think.......

Right I've decided I need to clear the decks a bit and have a good tidy through so I have no more excuses not to do my OU!!!

OMG I just had to share, I have had my first order of cupcakes!!!! I wasn't even advertising etc, and a friend works in a shop that is opening and the manager wanted cupcakes for the opening night, and has asked me, as she had them at my wedding and thought they were beautiful!!!!!! aaaahhhhhhhh am shaking im so chuffed!

Ooooh MissyMoo, how exciting! :j :j :j I'm so pleased for you! :j :j :j Did you *want* to be making cupcakes for other people?? Was this part of your new business venture, or has it just happened all by itself?? Funny how things turn out sometimes! How exciting! :j

(and it's not a pain at all, it's only because I was trying to use a reused envelope and forgot to take the sellotape to seal it with! Will post tomorrow )

Making cupcakes is something I would have always loved to do but just didn't think I would be able to do it etc or that I'd be good enough. Strange I wrote it on my list of things I want to achieve .......and it appeared!!!! I am so so chuffed!

Honestly I never thought I would believe in this stuff, but crikey it works!!!! ooooh still shaking!

Have one of each then! I must admit to being a bit generally sceptical myself, but I DO believe in the power of positive thinking and taking opportunities (and making them!) so looks like I need to get a bit more open minded on the whole universe idea first! :T
