Great indeed Mags! :j How cheery that we all inspire each other in our own little ways :j
I've finished sorting my piles of paper! :T Haven't made it downstairs with the rubbish one yet - it's so big it might need two trips!
However, going to have a little rethink on the rest of the afternoon. My eyes are really tired, today's work is involving HUGE amounts of reading, all on the screen, and I've got to the point where my eyes are scratchy and sore and I'm struggling to concentrate for 40 mins at a timeSo what I'm going to do is try 15 mins work, 15 mins play/sort etc for the next hour, and see how we get on. It's actually only 10 minutes less work over the course of each hour, and I think at this time in the afternoon the breaks will keep me more focused as I was drifting a bit in the last 40 minute slot...
So, here goes, I'll be back to report in an hour or so! :j0 -
Well, that was a couple of hours, but still! :rotfl: Done lots of things! :j
Done lots more PhD reading, and I'm going to spend half an hour dong a VERY quick and dirty draft of a couple of paragraphs outlining what I've read, and then a list of books to get from the library tomorrow, and then I'm stopping for the evening. A rather satisfying days work! :j :j
In my breaks I've been sneaking in a bit more of a read of memory girl's thread (all the bits I missed out in the middle). I've also put my HUGE rubbish pile in the recycling bin :T And had a VERY quick wardrobe sort out!  I have absolutely no intention of having a capsule wardrobe :rotfl: Mind you, I could probably do with one - we have four rails in ours, I use one, Mr Daffs has the other 3 (plus a load of shelves) and STILL has stuff lying around all over the chairs etc cos it won't fit in the wardrobe... :rotfl:
Anyway, so I've thrown away a few holey socks, manky flip flops and saggy old pairs of knickers:rotfl: And I've got half a bag of stuff for the charity shop :j And I've got a couple of things to mend holes in
And another pile (about as big as the charity shop one) of stuff that is too big/too small/ falling apart but that I LOVE the patterns/fabric of, and I've brought that pile up to the attic to chop up and make patchwork and presents out of :j :j Feeling all creative already!
HOWEVER, had a bit of sad news, friend is in a bit of a bad state, and thinks tonight might bring the end of his relationshipHe's asked us to be on standby if he needs somewhere to stay (could be a night, could be longer ). My little attic is the 'spare room'. So I'm going to do half an hour more work, then spend some time clearing the remainder of my piles away and straightening out the bed etc.
Then I might do a bit of baking, because while baking never fixes a broken heart, it's nice to know someone's thinking of you. Mr Daffs seems to have volunteered my services as comforter to the lady in question too - so I might be dispatched down there (with cake, of course) to be a shoulder to cry on. Might be a long night. <sigh> Always a bit sad, and I feel kind of treacherous knowing about it in advanceBut can't be helped I suppose
Right, must get on for a bit0 -

Not bad progress for the first day honeybear! :rotfl: :rotfl: Perhaps tomorrow you could branch out and put it in the dvd player? Turning it off again immediately of course. Then on Sunday maybe you could sit with a cup of tea and a bun and watch level one. Perhaps on Monday you could watch level 1 while dressed in your exercise clothes (you might need a lie down after that one :rotfl:) Then maybe on Wednesday you could have a go at it? :rotfl:
Sounds like my kind of shredding! :rotfl:0 -
