Mags, the pancake maker is like this:
pancake maker
(although I don't think it's this exact one) Can probably be found in the argos catalogue (although mine was a birthday present). It's really just a plug in hotplate, it doesn't actually *make* pancakes for you sadly! :rotfl: (gosh, can you imagine how many I'd eat if it did??) :rotfl:
I thought it was a bit daft, why can't you just use a frying pan etc... But I've fallen for it because it's so easy, doesn't really need cleaning, don't need to use fat to cook with, if I'm doing a few stir fry veg for inside the pancake I tend to cook them on the pancake maker first, it's sociable, everyone can make their own so there's no one person standing alone in front of the stove, you cna put it in the middle of the table, it doesn't start smoking if you don't put another one on it immediately...
(I should have shares in the company!)
Up and breakfasted, and it's not time to go to the WI yet! :rotfl: Don't know what's going on!0 -
Morning cheery!
We use to have a sunbeam plug in frying pan which sounds similar - I wore it out making pancakes for the cafe we use to have (many years ago)
Just got a cuppa and catching up with things - LOL to the WI not being open yetTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

you never said you had a cafe Fay. I dream of having a cafe, but it's linked to having a huge space where i can have a craft shop and run scrapbooking and crafting retreats.0

Does it sound worse if I say it was a craft workshop/cafe - we had one on the farm - I ran it with a friend - she did the arty things I helped by cooking and making jam pancakes and soup etc
Just light lunches and snacks - she ran classes for painting with kids etc - we've still got some mugs here.
You'd be great at that kind of thing LT!!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

<stomps feet> I'm jealous too!! I'd combine it with a B&B and campsite too though :j
Back from wedding, had THE most GORGEOUS day, but far too tired to tell you about it right now! <yawn>

Hooray!
I'm at w*rk, but just had to quickly pop in and tell you - I've just had an email from our finance person who's approving my training request asking if I've put the right amount down for travel. I put £40 to get to London and back, plus travelling around. In fact, I've already checked, and because I can go the day before and therefore off peak (and staying with a friend so saving them the hotel money), and I still have a student railcard, I can get return tickets for £25! :j :j :j
Don't even know if I'll need the rest of it, might take folding bike and cycle round London :j
See - MSE infiltrates even if it's not actually saving *me* money (and it means I can pay for slap up meal (home made, of course) for friend I'm staying with as they're saving goodness knows how much they'd otherwise be paying for 2 nights in a hotel! :j :j0 -
well done you Cheery.
I've known too many folk who would stay with friends and then still charge their companies for an overnight stay.0 -

XXwe also had a B&B but were'nt allowed a campsite as it was part of the local 'by-laws' - no camping/campsites.:o
Was fun but hard work. I had a neb about but it was 'pre WWW' so there aren't any web bits to show you - all I have now is blurb/accounts/photos and a few mugs.
