Thanks :j I just decided to have a general emergency/unforeseen expenses budget that would include dentists. I get prescriptions for free at the minute cos of the medication I'm on, although that might change soon, so I'll have to reassess (not that there's ever anything wrong with me other than this one thing!) Oh, it did feel good to pay from the budget though! :j :j :j

All fine anyway, just need one filling, as expected (that money can come from the emergency fund too!) All ok. (and pancakes for lunch :rotfl:)

It does sound a little weird having 'emergency' fund paying for 'dentist', but really it's probably more of an 'unanticipated right now' expenses fund. I have separate fund for anything to do with the car, and Mr Daffs deals with household emergencies for the time being.

Don't know why I'm busy justifying it! Think I'm just hungry waiting for my pancakes :rotfl:

Hope you're all cheery this morning!

    xx

Ooh, get me, I just got all brave and emailed boss asking if it's alright if I leave at 3.30 on Monday afternoon... <wibble>

No reason why it shouldn't be, of course, but still, it's a bit scary asking!

(I've got a friend who lives MILES away who will be in the city I work in for about an hour on Monday afternoon, and I'd just LOVE to see her for a cuppa!) <crosses fingers>
  • Good for you and the crossed fingers!

I have an OMG fund - for all those OMG moments.....:)

    I need an OMG fund!

Today I got paid (:j) but this means I'm now into frugality central as this is the first month I have to pay a full months mortgage, plus rent & service charge ()

At least my council tax won't come out til next months pay so I've got a bit of wriggle room this month.

I do have some savings and I'm off on a weeks hols next weekend - :j  so that will cover that.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Sounds fabulous! I think you need to bring a pair of flip-flops in your handbag!

What's this pancake maker? Can it be found in the Argos catalogue?
