Note to self: Must not loose car keys, £60 is loads to pay for a key, you needed it though so no choice.
Note to CheeryDaff: Return to the shred dvd immediately:D If you aren't writing about it I'll forget that I've added it to my wanted list.
You're going to love this:) Inspired by you I gave the charity shops another chance. I wasn't too impressed but then I found something that made it worthwhile. A plain navy Tommy Hilfiger rugby shirt still with tags on for €5. It's not something I'd ever normally buy or wear but for that price I was well impressed and I love it.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Hooray for the charity shop find!! :j :j :j Extremely exciting when you get a bargainous bargain like that :j :j
I still haven't quite worked out how they can justify £60 for a car key - especially when there's no central locking or immobiliser or anything... Hmm. Perhaps there's a secret immobiliser? Hope not - how are we ever going to turn it off if we don't even know it's there?? :eek: Must figure that one out before tomorrow!
Shred. Hmm. Did Day 12 this morning! :j in a very half a*sed manner, I must confess :rotfl: I just cannot do exercise without eating first, and since Shred doesn't involve too much jumping around, I'm generally alright stuffing in a bit of bread and jam just beforehand. This morning though, the birthday cake was closer than the bread, so I ate a piece of that :rotfl:
Note to self: it won't work if you keep eating cake first! :rotfl:
Scared to get on the scales tomorrow - I suspect I will already have undone all my good work from the last couple of weeks :eek::rotfl:

I love that!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Now then. I've got the evening to myself, what to do, what to do?? :j :j A Ta Da list, of course!! :j :j :j Which I'm starting from 6pm, cos that's when Mr Daffs started getting ready, and when I started to get on with stuff. SO..... since 6pm I have....
* put clothes away in bedroom
* changed sheets
* made home made washing powder
* sorted washing and put a load on
* cleaned kitchen and done washing up
* changed light bulbs in kitchen
:j :j
I'm just starting to be a little hormonal today, and that's when I start being a bit dissatisfied with things :rotfl: bit annoying, but on the up side it's when I start to get annoyed with things, and then they get changed! :j :rotfl: So the thing that's annoyed me this evening is bedclothes (as in sheets and quilt covers, not nighties! :rotfl:)
ALL of ours are ancient, we only have 2 sheets that fit, and they're both in the washboth of them are old and threadbare (like you can literally see through them, and at some point soon a foot is going to go through). We've got three quilt covers - one is white, and all bobbly, one *was* white until I tried to die it purple - now it's all patchy and blotchy where all the old bits of water stains from when I flooded the bedroom (!!) haven't caught the die. The third is shiny satin on one side - Mr Daffs loves it but I can't stand the way it feels on my feet
and anyway, it's all bobbly. We've got loads of pillowcases, but none of them match, and again, a lot of them are water stained.
The whole thing just feels cheap and nasty! Pah!
And the mattress, which was rather expensive, has started to tear (Mr Daffs has had it for a few years before I came along) - partly I suspect because he quite often goes to bed in his shoes :rotfl:
(gosh, it's a good job you lot don't know me in real life!!) :rotfl:
I can't justify buying new new bedding, so charity shop it will have to be. However, if I buy 'old lady flowery' bed clothes, Mr Daffs will probably move out :rotfl: So it'll have to be plain, and it'll have to be either white, dark purple, dark green, or at a push, red. So, let's have an action point:
Action Point: Look for new bedding in charity shops - preferably cotton, sheets preferably fitted, and preferably white, purple or green!
I'm on the case! <rolls up sleeves>0 -

Sadly not Beanielou - don't really shop in Mr T, I think I got £1 of clubcard vouchers last year, and nothing this year! :rotfl:0

Right, here we go with the rest of the ta da list! :j :j
* put clothes away in bedroom
* changed sheets
* made home made washing powder
* sorted washing and put a load on
* cleaned kitchen and done washing up
* changed light bulbs in kitchen
* cleaned bathroom
* tried to hoover upstairs - hoover wouldn't start :eek: so brushed instead - remarkably quick and far more effective than the hoover at getting up hair! :rotfl: think I'll just brush from now on - I generally do in the kitchen anyway! :j
* cleaned fridge
* made and ate pancakes - one with goats cheese and rocket :j one with egg, mature cheddar and friend mushrooms, and one with sugar and lemon :j :j :j Consoled myself by thinking I'd pay atl east £7.50 at a festival for all that lot! :rotfl:
* mooched about the forums..
Back to it then!0 -
wish you lived round here, not only have i given away hand weights on freecycle, i've also given away lots of good quality bedding just because we changed the size of the duvet. Grrr i could have at least put the bedding in the post for you.
I'm a lot like you, i have really good plans about doing jobs round the house but in reality i spend way too much time on the internet chatting on these forums0 -
Ah well LT, that's extremely kind of you anyway, I very much appreciate the thought! :j Think we're a king size, must remember not to get excited when I see cheery double stuff :rotfl: Freecycle is a good idea though, well done! I sometimes just can't stand the thought of wading through all the emails... :eek:
Isn't it funny how we're all similar in so many ways?? I guess if we all got on with loads of stuff instead of chatting away on internet forums, we wouldn't be here... :rotfl
(speaking of which, I'm off to run a bath :j :j :j )0 -
enjoy your bath.
You'e right it's funny how so many of us are similar. It could be why we ended up here though0
