Well, you got it, anyway - and its good to drive. But how horrible are companies that are supposedly there to serve us? Don/t blame you for being beyond cross.... hope you can still manage to get some good sleep tho.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

*creeps back out of lurkdom and waves*
I just wanted to let you know Cheery that shred has been delivered this morning and I intend to start it this evening. If I injure myself in the process do I get to blame you?I'm hoping it's no harder than the classes I currently do at my gym!

ThanksForgot about the shredding :rotfl: In fact, I did Day 11 this morning - first day of Level 2, and then promptly forgot all about it in the car messing around! :rotfl: !!!!!! are those squat thrusts???? I laughed out loud when they came on!!! :rotfl:
Just taken the seats out of the back of the car to go in the cellar, and had our first cup of tea sitting in the back :j :j :j :rotfl:
I have only looked at level 2-behind my hands:o:o:rotfl::eek: But i did another day of level 1 today. Was a bit harder after hols i have to say.
Hanb- I am a bit heavier than Cheerydaff and a few other folk doing it-and if i can do it- anyone can:j:j:D I am sure you will have no problem after your gym classes. Jillian herself says that she has 400lbs peeps doing those excercises-so go for it girl:D
Sorry to hear about the insurance-hope that is now sorted out for you.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
<waves to hanb and bob!>
Don't blame me for Shred hanb, blame Hypno! She started it! :rotfl: Good luck, have you tried it yet? I didn't do it yesterday, and won't be doing it today eitherfull day at work, train at 7am, not getting home til 7pm and cycling 10 miles don't make me want to shred too!
And we've got a friend staying tonight, so I'm not sure I'll manage it tomorrow morning either, she might be concerned if she happens upon me doing squat thrusts in the kitchen :rotfl:
Insurance all sorted thank goodness, just need to get a new key for the car as it only has one, and that seems to be trying to decide whether it'll open the door or not every time  A car that WORKS, that's all I want! £60 for a new key!!  It hasn't even got central locking or an immobiliser or anything!! Worth it though - one of us is always losing our keys and having to use the other ones :rotfl:
anyway, at work, must crack on...0 -
I did indeed do it last night! It wasn't too bad - mainly because I do body pump every week which involves a lot of squats so I’m used to those but I will admit to being a sweaty Betty at the end of it so it must be doing something right. I need to invest in some proper weights, baked beans aren't really too heavy!
I also do a class called calorie killer which burns around 900 calories in a 40 minute lesson - it's ridiculous!! It's mainly super fast step aerobics with weights and lots of pain!
So hopefully with all of that combined I shall be a skinny Minnie in no timeand there's no need to shout at anyone
Yet...

Good grief hanb, that class sounds preposterous!!
(I was thinking the same about the beans - but I use value kidney beans... :rotfl:)0 -
I'm not doing shred, but I *was* wondering about decluttering my free weights, cos of my arthritis - they're 8lbs (that must be in total, surely to goodness?). But I was weighing them in my hands yesterday, and I *like* them.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

hey cheery
Just caught up....... yaaaaaaay for the guinea pig van..... love the sound of it....... and the teeny hedghihogs. Glad you have managed to sort the insurance too
I'm still umming and ahhhing about getting shred, am a bit scared I have to say!!
Really should be doing my assignment, but really can't be bothered! Ho hum. Think it's definitely time for another cuppa!!!!0 -
i looked into Shred at lunch time today, i love watching Biggest Loser and didn't realise Jillian did these dvd's as well. Not sure i'm brave enough to even consider having a go myself but i am challenging myself to go to they gym 3 days a week. I achieved an hour there last sunday so i think that's a good start.0

Ok so i did day 2 of shred last night and i'm aching a little today
I like it in a weird though - the feeling that i've worked my body! I was contemplatnig an hour at the gym tonight before going home to do shred but i get the feeling that won't happen!
To those of you thinknig about getting it, after 2 days i would recommend it - it takes me an hour at the gym to get my muscles to work like they do in this short 20 minute programme! It's not for anyone who wants to take it easy though..
I have brought my beans to the office today for lunch :rotfl: so i think i shall invest in come heavier tinned vegetable for tonight! Or actual weights if i see them anywhere at a decent price.0
