  • Hi,

I am sorry to hear and read that a signficant number of customers have been hit by these guys.

    I too have been hit.

Orange's fraud department will be contacting me on where to take this. Consumer Direct have advised me to write to Clickmobile to remedy the situation or reply of their proposal within 14 days as they are in breach.

I will be heading over to the Hounslow brach to see what is happening if anything overthere.

    Navstar.

That will just be a waste of your time as well as your money for the travelling expenses.

    It seems they are bust.

What a joke! " Click said its plans to pay customers' cashback within four to six weeks are still on track. 'That situation is still the same; that hasn't changed.'"

Why is it Orange will downgrade people onto lower tariffs for those affected by the Dialaphone cashback problem, but for Click Mobile they are saying you have to wait for 6 months before they will downgrade you?

Its stated in this article: http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/content/16822.asp?men=&sub=1&txtSearch=click%20mobile

As far as we know there are no special problems with Dialaphone cashback??

Maybe you mean dialamobile cashback problem?

Orange contract conditions state that downgrades can only take place once 6 months have passed since the contract started.
  • Dear All,

I have now been in touch with Otelo, the ombudsman for Three. The advise I have received is to write a professional letter to the executives of three.

So below is my version of the letter - "CAN I REQUEST YOU ALL TO FOLLOW THIS AND POST AT THE ADDRESS SHOWN" Hopefully this will escalate the matters. Let me know how it goes.

"PLEASE ALSO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS FORUM AS WE ALL ARE IN IT TOGETHER AND WE MAY LEARN FROM EACH OTHERS EXPERIENCE".

    Re: Account Number """""""""""""""""""

I write to register the financial loss being incurred by myself as a direct consequence of being a customer of THREE through one of your nominated dealers Click Mobile UK Ltd of Hanworth.

The above mentioned dealer offered an excellent cash back deal on your company’s network which I signed on 27 May 2007. The deal was to receive a £711 cash back after the first three month into the contract.

The dealer has since then gone out of business with myself, an innocent customer, being at the receiving end of what appears to be a fraud of substantial nature. This is evident as there is a large number of affected customers exchanging their views on various forums on the web. The dealer remains out of contact since last few weeks.

I am aware that the cash back deal is between myself and the dealer but my honest questions to you are:
    1) Can Three claim negligence on this issue as there is a breach in this collateral contract?
    2) Will Three take actions for the benefit of it’s customers?

As a customer I believe that my right to receive a “duty of care” has been violated. I have been in touch with your customer services who are looking at his matter and I can only Thank you for that. However, I am currently paying £70/month which I would not have paid had it not been for the cash back offer by the dealer. This is becoming extremely difficult now with the cash back contract not being honoured by the dealer.

I kindly request you to review this situation with urgency and act for the interest of innocent customers. I look forward to your positive response.

    Yours Sincerely

    Your Name

  • I'll be on the case tonight!!
  • Hi guys

Their shops are closed and phones have been dead for the last 2 weeks. things look bad.

Anyone know if and how we can get our cashback back?

    Have they gone bankrupt?

where can we find out such information and/or get hold of Saj Khan?

    cheers!
  • Hello Guys ...

I called Consumer Direct a couple of days back ... they told me that they have many complaints about Click Mobile ... but she also confirmed that it is still not on the Insolvency Register (so not bankrupt yet) ... They also confirmed that if the shop is closed, then we should forget about getting ANY money back from them. The best thing would be to call the Service Provider (3 or Orange), and request them to lower the tariff in good faith (although it will not be binding on them).

Also if you goto this news link (http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/content/16787.asp?men=2&sub=3) ... it appears that Click Mobile has been closed on Police advice as the Police was called a few times to the shop because of irate and out of control customers. They have also mentioned that Barclays has frozen their account for some reason, because of which they're not able to release cashback

I'm not sure, but would like to hope that one day there will be cheque in our mailbox from Click Mobile.
  • They say that it's barclays that have frozen their account but my bounced cashback cheques were from the Bank of Baroda so what's going on there?
