I know I won't take any **** from midwives this time.......they just love a first time mother.......
Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY
  • If you had been feeding him for a week already and he was thriving you were doing just fine. It is perfectly normal for a baby to lose weight in the first week. It is dreadful that they discouraged you from feeding. Now if the baby was not doing well, you had problems with cracked nipples or something, or you just plain preferred to give the baby a bottle I could understand. Still better luck this time.

so can i forgive myself for only lasting a week feeding DD for a week as i has mastitis (?), she was constantly wanting feeding, and i was in need of a blood transfusion? i still feel terribly guilty, i cried all the way to the chemist to buy bottles after i left hosp. Nurse just said oh well, put her on the bottle.

  • Friar’s Balsam is a an old remedy for almost everything. I have a very funny story about Friars Balsam. My husband went to the doctor years ago with a cold and a cough and the doctor told him to get some Friar’s Balsam. So I got some the next time I went shopping and gave him a teaspoonful – only problem is it is supposed to but put in a bowl of hot water and you sit with a towel over your head inhaling the vapours. It did take his mind of his cough for a while though!

  • Wow, this has been such an eyeopener (and leg-closer!).
I'm still going to get my coil out next week mind you. Weird, after hundreds of years (seems like) of me saying I never wanted kids and having a phobia about the whole thing, about 2 weeks ago my body clock kicked in cos I'm 40 in a few months. Dreading most of it, but it appears to be worthwhile at the end :)
Anyone know where you can take 'em back for refunds if it doesn't work out though?! :)

No refund after six months but I think you can exchange for a puppy.
    :D

If I had all the money I'd spent on drink, I'd spend it on drink.
