ooobedoo wrote:Can you get some of them to get jobs in St Mary's in Portsmouth please??????
I had eldest DS there 11 years ago and they were ok back then???? I had 5 days in the maternity unit afterwards and it was great - hardly anyone in there so I had the place to myself and they let me put baby in the nursery for aaaages whilest i had baths etc. Food was good too.
My mum's a midwife and wanted to help me deliver but too modest to let my mum see me down ther - LOL
She's def not a stick insect and has had 5 of us and 3 miscarriages so she def knows what it's loike. She was soo invaluable for advice etc.
Little DS is a bit traumatised at the mo as my ex's new gf has just had his lil bro and she had to be rushed back into hospital in the middle of the night with a massive MRSA infection, her CS scar has been operated on again but her bowel has exploded, kidneys and liver shut down and she's in intensive care. Baby has been whisked off to Gran's in Exeter under threat of Foster care - Coventry hospital refused to keep him in any longer and my ex is blind. DS was supposed to be staying there whilst I went to Spain but naturally that had to be put on hold so my dad came and got him. Poor chap wants to see his brother and can't understand why ex's gf is so poorly. I nearly offered to take him in but came to my senses as it would probably end up being for life at the rate things are goingWe're all peed off with the hospital for sending home with an infection in the first place and saying that it would clear up!!!

I know, was preoccupied and not as fiesty as normal......
I did throw a strop when the SHO kneeled down in front of me and told me to stop eating mars bars......he was lucky he didn't get a kick in the b******s, I don't even like chocolate!!!! he had put his hand on my knee and I think my DH was going to flip.
Like I have said before, if you are giving birth in Portsmouth, leave your dignity and rights at the door..............Why do they treat pregnant women like they are stupid???Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0 -

You'd be no better off in Ormskirk oobedoo. All the kept saying to me was that I couldnt be in that much pain as I was only 1cm. Well I might have been that when they checked me 2 hours before but at that point I was fully dilated and involuntary pushing. Good job the student midwife noticed decelarations in DD heartbeat and got them to check me again or DH would have been delivering her himself. I was out of my head on Diamorphine and wasnt even sure why I was at the hospital but knew it hurt like hell :rotfl: .Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -

Same here Wanty - I was half a stone lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight and back in my jeans in under a week after having the baby.
