I like Jessica too. Our likely girls name (if we're lucky to get pg!) is Ellie - really love it - just worry about "Nellie the elephant..." school kids can be cruel hey?!

Congratulations!!! Alexander is a lovely name - and so many permutations for a nickname! lets see, theres Alex of course, but I know a Zander and a Sandy! and Al of course! then theres Lex, Lexy and Zan! whatever you call him - Alexander is a very regal name (Alexander the Great) and suits kids from 0 to 110!

Congratulations on your new arrival!! Love his name - I've got an Alex Richard (he's named after an Alex, hence not Alexander!). He's 5 now and known by a variety of pet names - Al, Big Al (except he's not big!), Lex, Lexlex, Lexy, Lexington, Lexingtonio, etc....

I have an Ellie. She tends to get called Chubster or Ellie-chins or Gut-rina. :A

Ophelia is a beautiful name. Very feminine and would suit a girl really well from baby days right through to adulthood. Some names dont seem right on adults but suit litttle kids iykwim. But your choice is great.

She also wouldn't be mixed up with another kid in her class. Wish I had thought of something more original for my dd now.

Yes and yes! I do like Strictly and the Eastern European names are so pretty, but I'm also investigating French ones this time. Heaven help me if it's a boy!

OH says he doesn;t like ophelia though, so back to the drawing board.
