At best I can imagine that 'Charlotte' drafted a proposed email which was 'accidently' distributed before being completed with personal addressing as well as logos and identifiers.

I think you're right. (It went straight to my spam box.)

I had one of these, and binned it within about 10 seconds. If they're not going to tell me who it's from then I'm not going to waste my time.

• I've just had the email today. The website itself does seem to be genuine but what is suspicious is the following;
1) Address to "Dear : " - No actual name. If they knew who you are, they would know exactly what Bank you bank with and they would know your full name.
2) United States originated email. - Why send an email via a US web hosting company that has no relation to LTSB or HALIFAX?

My advice is if you didn't contact them, and they are asking for personal details, then DON'T REPLY.

Remember IP addresses can be faked and redirected to another IP address. I personally think it is genuine (even with the "Dear - no name") but I won't bother fully opening the email or visiting the website as I don't do "surveys".

It was sent to an address I only gave to LloydsTSB, customer services didn't know anything about it and tried to fob me off with excuses.
Ok so perhaps it's a fault in a customer survey program that sent the e-mail before it was finished, but really bad show Lloyds - really bad indeed.
Note: My current preferences on my account state to not provide my e-mail address to 3rd parties.

What with the world and it's dog getting spam/scam bank e-mails LloydsTSB have really messed up here...

I also got one of these this morning. Another fishy thing is that it seems to have originated from Lloyds TSB, but the e-mail does not explain this.

I think it is just a massively incompetent mail-out by Lloyds TSB, but there's no way I'm going to even click the link. If they can't even send out a professional introductory e-mail, I really don't fancy being involved.

And there is always a chance that it is fake, in which case I certainly don't want to respond.

I also received this email today. Sent to an address only Lloyds TSB should know about. I have forwarded it to emailscams@lloydstsb.co.uk which is an address listed on their web site for reporting this sort of thing. If this really is from Lloyds TSB it is a very poor effort.

I've just got one, and yes it appears to be from Lloyds
I too have sent it on to emailscams@lloydstsb.co.uk
it will be interesting to see if we get a reply

Just got another one, this one from the HBOS part of Lloyds/Halifax/BOS. Again, nothing after the Dear, and no overt identification of the link with HBOS. In the words of Blackadder, Lloyds do seem to be at home to Mr !!!!-up.

I see I have been censored! The trouble is, the four exclamation marks make it seem like I wrote an Anglo-Saxon word beginning with F, when in fact I merely used the word for a male chicken!

I also received this today to a banking email address. I think that IF either Halifax or Lloyds are seriously trying to engage with their customers then they now look really stupid if they have really sent out spam emails that have worried me and clearly everyone else here too.

It does look more like a scam than any kind of 'draft email sent in error' - no reputable company would direct customers to a website that doesn't exist, and having checked it, 'meandmymoney.co.uk' doesn't. Halifax appears to have a limp explanation on its site about the legitmacy of this poorly conducted venture, but the damage is already done!
