    A girl I went to school with has called her child Deesal. I thought that was rather charming....:cool:

    Not only is it an abhorrent name to land a child with, but the dumb b!tch has even spelt it wrong!:D

    Oh dear, poor little mite. The sad thing is that the numpty probably hasn't named the child after the fuel, or even Vin Diesel that appallingly lousy actor but most likely after the blessed brand-name. It's a bit like those Pacific islander cargo-cults who named their kids "Radio" and whatnot.

    I remember a family at school who had abit of a reputation for being 'rough'. Anyway, kids were as follows;

    Girl 1: Adrienne
    Girl 2: Tony (yes, that was her name. It wasn't short for anything else)
    Boy 1 and Boy 2: Sugarray and Stallone (identical twin boys)
    Boy 3: Rocky.

    And no, Im not making this up.

    To me, that alone should be enough to warrant social services taking the child from her. Deesal? Ugh. It makes me heave..:(

    Say the name Hayley, then say it without the H and you get Ayley or rather Eilidh. It is a really popular name in Scotland, we have 4 girls out of 12 named that in my playgroup.

    Oh good god!! Sugarray and Stallone?!! Seriously!!!
    Someone I used to work with had 2 girls, Georgia and Armani(although she instead 'Armani' was pronounced Ar-Mar-Nay!)
  • I have a Benjamin. He is Benjamin all the time and never Ben (yet) although we are aware that he may well choose to shorten his name at some stage (we chose it with this in mind).

    Others on our list were:

    Conrad
    Edward
    Spike
    Matthew
    Woody (Or Edward shortened to Woody).
