Haven't read the whole thread, but my lil boys sunday name is Zacharias William *******
We call him Zach for short, but that is so so often spelt wrong! Zac, Zak, Zack
NO - Its short for ZACHarias, so the shortened spelling is Zach! lol
I must admist I thought about how his name would sound if he was ever ;
a - politician
b - tv presenter
c - respected peer in his field
d - at school! how many of that name would be in his class!?
etc etc, and to me, Zacharias William covered all the bases
I would imagine by the time he is old enough, it will all seem perfectly normal.0 -
Good choice - no problem with spelling there!!
My name is Fern, and the sheer amount of people that can't spell it right is amazing! I have had cards addressed to Ferne, Fearne, Farn, Ferm, Ferme, Vern, Vearne and Fem. When I order a taxi, or say my name on the phone people often mistake my name for Fay or Sam which always baffles me. Generally none of this bothers me though, just makes me giggle a bit.0 -

Have a look at your family tree and see if there are name you like. They come into and out of fashion so whats unusual one year is common the next. Also its influenced my media. I think its nice to pick a name that has an family tie to it. After all your introducing someone new to your family0
