"Brian" would go with your surname - it's my father's and my husband's name, my son's middle name - it's not weird, but not too common. I've always liked it!

I called my own son Rupert - he suffered rather at school, but is OK with it now - he's 23.

I'm not a fan of first and last names that rhyme....I think it would sounds better if his first name didn't end in "an", personally.

One of my friends has a boy Taliesan which I am not sure about. .

The Welsh version, Taliesin, means 'shining brow'. Not a lot of people know that ;)

I'd avoid the name Judas (an earlier suggestion), maybe too closely linked to the treacherous Judas Iscariot for the lad to be comfortable in school's RE lessons.

My boys are Elliot and Fletcher.

12 years ago we thought Elliot was just unusal enough.....it turned out that there were others thinking the same thing. In his class at school there were 2 other "Elliots".

3 years ago, when naming our youngest, we really struggled to find a name for him......I decided to look at my family tree for inspiration.

Fletcher was a surname on my mothers side from the 1700's.
I loved it from the moment I read it.

Cooper Finnigan, Channing Finnigan, Bede Finnigan, Jude Finnigan, Westley Finnigan, Bruce Finnigan, Eston Finnigan, Wade Finnigan, or Jake Finnigan. And Tyler Finnigan. What do you think which is the one which sounds best and looks best?

    I quite like Cooper.

Tyler seems to be one of those unisex names - to me it sounds like a boy's name but I know a couple of girls called that too.
