Given the fact that they offer truly unlimited data plans from £10 SIM only, I think that GiffGaff may benefit from O2's data cap announcement today.

Is this fact where in the terms and conditions does it say this, if it is truly unlimited this is better than any networks tariffs

On there web site, not to hard to find.

    Is unlimited really unlimited?
The answer is yes, we are unlimited for personal mobile use - but not for commercial and automated use. Mobile Internet allowances exclude PC use and tethering.

cheapest isnt always the best especially if you use data on a smartphone or mobile data dongle.

since they piggyback on O2 the coverage will be similar. ofcom gave a warning to O2 in the recent past about the awful coverage http://crave.cnet.co.uk/cnetuk/crave/mobiles/0,39029453,49302921,00.htm (see coverage maps for 3G connection available on this website as well for various networks) and that they supposedly werent fulfilling the 3G license conditions or something like that and to buckle up and remedy the situation, as far as i read online.

see the 3G coverage maps for various UK networks from the ofcom document on this thread. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/34523099#Comment_34523099

what are the speedtest results giffgaff members are getting for downloads and uploads on 3G connection. i have a general idea about orangle, tmobile, vodafone, three network but havent seen much speedtest results about O2 and giffgaff. any input about speedtests is much appreciated as will be useful in conjunction with 3G maps at the time of upgrades. my speedtest results are quoted on this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=34486489&postcount=12
