Beachbeth ... When I got my GCSE results (12 years ago ) our Head of English, who I was taught by, alerted the exam board that the English Lit marks from his top-set classes looked suspiciously low ... This resulted in them re-marking the entire year's English Lit papers and my mark went up from a B to an A :) ... C*ck ups certainly happen! ... Oh and kiwichick ... ((((((((hugs)))))))) to you :)

purpleprincess --- hi, good for u standing up for yourself :)

Are therapists avalible on the NHS?? I dont know if that would help or not.

Yes they are. Both myself and the BF have had counselling at some point in our lives, though the waiting lists tend to be long and vary from area to area. It really helped me-it's good to have a moan to someone who you are not emotionally involved with, if you know what I mean. You don't hold back for fear of hurting your family member or friends feelings.

    *hugs*

Purple princess - good on you for making your decision, for what it's worth I think it's the right one for all concerned. I hope he starts to wise up soon.

Kiwichick - what can I say? You really are having a pig of a time of it! That said you are dealing remarkably well (even if you don't think so) Just take the carpet for an example - when you were ill and on anti d's would you have managed to get that carpet replaced? You've done well to get onto them and get it sorted - more than I've managed when things've gone pear shaped for me. You're being chucked lots of challenges and are dealing extremely well with them. Seriously, you need to give yourself a huge pat on the back.

purple princess - good for you girl! Sometimes no is one of the hardest things to say.

kiwichick - ((hugs)) Just think of us as your own personal counsellors - come on here & have a good ol' whinge anytime.

The car saga goes on - the accident repairers say that the leak is a manufacturing default, nothing to do with them, so it's back to Mazda now for a BIG STROP. I love a good fight - especially when I'm right (and was right in the first place!)

I've noticed my post count is heading up towards the 1,000 mark, so if you notice lots of irrelevant posts from me in the next few hours, you'll know why :D

Kiwichick, its no wonder you are feeling down and if you can do without the pills then good for you. If you can't then you can't - it doesn't make you a failure, just human. Im sure your doctor will refer you to a therapist (Ive been referred myself in the past) especially if you say its because you don't want the happy tablets.

Take no notice of MIL and don't let her spite get you down. I have personal experience of a relative like this and have got so upset about it myself but there's no point beating yourself up about it. With people like this you can't do right for doing wrong and they make you feel as though its you and not them at fault. After years of trying my hardest to stay on the right side of this person and doing my best to please I realised that it was impossible and now don't bother trying. I am much happier and get on with her better too strangely! If she complains or moans I just moan back or don't call round for a bit and she gets the message.

    Chin up and hugs!

Kiwi - ((((HUGS)))):grouphug: glad your second post sees you more positive. You may pick your OH, but you dont pick the parents!!!! Ive also had problems, not only with in laws, but my own dad, and the way i look at it, is they are the ones missing out on my wonderful children, not the other way round.

Well, ive had quite a productive day so far, 2 lots of washing done and hanging on the line, ive cleaned the bathroom and toilet (including the floors!!), and walked to the post office and posted a book i sold last night on Amazon, the children went on their bikes, and thought that was great!!! Ive also finally put some pictures up on the wall in my hall (we've only been here 3 years!!!) We've just had dinner of HM spag bol, and in a minute we will be tucking into HM apple and blackberry crumble i made with the blackberries we picked the other day!!! I love being on holiday, but its going to fast:eek:

Right, lets see if i have any custard in the cupboard (we also have extra thick double cream in the fridge, just love all those caleries!!!!)

    Have a good evening everyone
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This is what I always say. They are cutting their noses off to spite their faces and don't realise how much they are missing.
