Kiwichick, I think you are coping amazingly well with the c**p life is throwing at you at the moment. Chin up, things are sure to get better soon.
I have had a productive day. My washing basket is completely empty. We have had a beautiful day here so the washing line has been more of a conveyor belt today.
DS and DD have cleaned their rooms (under protest but cleaned and tidied nonetheless). This now explains why my glasses cupboard went from having about 20 glasses in it to around 4.
Shopping is done and I am now the proud owner of a bottle of Stardrops and some microfibre cloths so guess what I will be doing this weekend?
I can't believe that I have even ironed the kids' uniforms and they don't go back to school until 4th September!! DS's PE kit is also done. DD's will be done at the weekend. :T
All I have to do now is plan my menus around today's shopping. Oh what fun!"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Kiwichick (((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) Dont let her get you down! My MIL is very similar and we've not got along since OH & I got together 18 years ago when we were 13:eek:
.....she said we would never last....and its our 13th anniversary in December:p
....she is so nosey...ask BargainRzl:D :rotfl: Try not let it grind you down hun.
Been resting up this afternoon and watched abit of TV with DD. Told by the hospital I should be on bed rest, but am finding it so difficult with DD at home as last years 6 weeks holiday was basically spent in hospital. I do have my electric scooter now but is still quite knackering using it...lol.
Found out that a good friend of the family died this morning and has hit quite hard. I was bought up with them and they are the same age as my folks, havent seen them for years though, but its such a shock. The funeral is next week, so am hoping that I will be well enough to go.
Anyway, Id best go as I want some pudding of ice-cream with melted galaxy on top:o
Hugs to all.

Hi
I'm a complete newbie here. Been lurking for a while - hopefully if I come clean and own up to being around I will commit to being OS bigtime (rather than half heartedly)
You all seem like nice, supportive people.
I probably won't be able to post every day - but I'll see what I can.
Off to start dinner and to load WM (see I'm getting the lingo already!):D"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Peem-Welcome and glad to have you.

Hi Peem :hello:
You really have joined the friendliest chat forum - as a fellow newbie I can testify to that.
Everyone is very kind and helpful and can offer advice on every aspect of life (as you have probably seen for yourself). Feel free to join in.

It has been a lovely day (top end of South Yorkshire) DH finally roused and we went to Oakwell Hall, Birstall.. Really great place, am going to recommend my Sis takes the children there when she's up for a week as of Sunday. Family ticket into the hall £3:30 otherwise adults £1:50 children £0:60 Lovely gardens, and the gift shop is really well priced with loads of pocket money things for the kids. There's a fun day there this Sunday, again Adults £1.50 which gets you into the hall as well.
There was so much to explore, and we didn't even get to the Countryside side of it.

(((((((((((((((kiwichick)))))))))))))) You are doing brilliantly and have sorted so much out.
Peem, welcome to OS
The trip to the hairdressers did not go quite according to plan. I went a bit overboard and had my hair cut!! Not much but it's a good 5 inches shorter and I have a fringe
I also managed to get a free XBox for DS's birthday in November! They had them reduced in Boots to £74.99 and after I had attacked the ACM and spent £11 I had enough points on my Advantage card to pay for one and got a £5 skincare voucher
Got DD's school shoes and her daps cost 99p. Had an expedition into the new chinese supermarket that's opened and bought some noodle bowls and a huge pot of mixed herbs, then found the second hand furniture shop was doing kids videos at 3 for £2Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500
