T shirt has now joined the teddy in the corner! :rotfl:
But the breadmaker is going with a soon to be granary loaf in it and I have a pot of vegetable soup on so not all is lost. Friends had to cancel coming for a meal tonight so slow cooker casserole will have to wait until tomorrow!
Thank you for the explanation Moggins re the daps, we call them pumps hereIf having your hair done makes you feel loads better then can't you call it medicinal? (under the budget rules)
Kyle - hope your day gets better ((hugs))
Loubee - Well done on the ebay sales :T Gonna get brave myself and list some things on there soon.
Brgn Rzl - men are like buses aren't they?
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning All!!
Loubee, I love crumpets & marmite!! You've made me so hungry.
Lynseyjane - Congratulations!!
Haven't read the end of last nights thread so not sure what happened but hugs to those that need them and for today.
Took kids to dentist yesterday, DS has three holes  I felt so terrible. I am so strict about sugar. Fruit juice is watered down, they have sweets once a week on a Saturday, we don't have pudding often. He will have to be sedated to have them filled, luckily they are his babyteeth. DH said he was the same at DS's age, had to have four filled and it took 3 people to pin him down to sedate him!!! Blimey I'm welling up thinking about it, what a woose.
Was in the kitchen all night last night, using up all the pastry I had left over. Made sausage rolls for the kids and turkey and bacon tartlets for DH and myself. Was lovely. Once kids were in bed made weetabix cake and flapjacks up for Holiday Club Ladies and baked them this morning. Weetabix cake was still warm when I took it in. Put them all on a pretty dish with some mocha squares and it looked lovely, though I say so myself.Hope they like it. So sad hol club is closing down.
Not sleeping well at the moment, not sure why usually sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow, so my sympathy to those in the same boat.
Today, work as usual, also need to start listing what the kids need for school and get that in next week. Have left it late as MIL is here next week and she will enjoy trawling around the shops looking for the right lunchbox etc!!
In laws arrive on Saturday, it's DS's birthday on Tuesday and we were planning a bbq on Monday. It's a tradition to have a barbie for his birthday but not sure what the weather will be like.
Breakfast: Go ahead bar & tea.
Lunch: Left over shepherds pie.
Dinner: Pasta Bake & salad.
Am off tommorrow, will clean oven and clear front garden whatever the weather!!
Have a lovely day all.

Pink-winged, if your DS really wants to go to Longleat they have a Center Parcs almost right next door! We didn't pay for the tickets care of CC vouchers and the great thing about the passport tickets is that although you can only do each thing once, you can go back again and again until you have done everything. So if you spread it out then you could spend a whole weekend just doing Longleat
. It took less than £20 worth of CC vouchers to pay for 2 adult and 2 child passport tickets.
Catz I figure that it can't cost that much for a wash and blowdry surely?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

...Forgot to say, Penny Pincher, sorry you're feeling poorly, wish you better. Last week and last night i picked up some bargains in the reduced section at Asda's, got loads of salmon and prawns last night and some lovely rolls all for a song.
Whenever I get bargains like this your name always pops into my head!!
Bargain Rzl - Enjoy the attention!!

It should be a quietish day here.......DD is going shopping with a friend, DS1 is going fishing with my Dad and DS2 wants to go blackberry picking and make a blackberry pie with me. Can you make a blackberry pie on it's own? I've only ever had blackberry and apple
I often make a blackberry crumble for DD, and blackberry and apple crumble for DS and me, as DD doesnt like the apple!!!! Its really nice too!!!0 -
MimiF hope your son gets on okay((hugs)) ds1 had to get most of his baby teeth out as they were brown at the top, our first dentist said it was nothing to worry but, only there because he was grinding his teeth a lot! we changed to another practice as we werent happy.
He was 18 months when he had his teeth taken out, he had to go to hospital for that, and it was awful seeing him going through that.
It was only til we found out he had diabetes, and the dentist said the milk he used to drink( about nearly 6 pints a night) would have caused it! feel awful for not noticing anything!0 -
VickyA - thanks for the clip, I'm off for a practice in a minute.
Car has gone to another garage today, so hopefully they will actually find the source of the leak & fix it. Not holding my breath to get it back this afternoon though......
Right, better go havea rummage in the freezer for something for tea.........can you tell I'm not feeling inspired?
Hgs to all, will have a proper read later when I've got these blasted H&S audits typed up (yawn!). Must go to the gym today too, as I missed it yesterday.0 -
Whoopeee!! I can do it (shirt folding thingy) Has resulted in whoops of laughter as we tried to work out why we kept getting it inside out.
That said, I still prefer the result of using A4 cardboard - fits great in a drawer then.
You see, my laundry is done in two ways. Some times it's all folded and ireoned into shop display worthy stacks. Mostly it's quick sort from basket into drawer - unironed... and you're lucky if it does get that far!

me too!! I now have a drawer full of neatly folded T shirts! (Sadly I still have 2 untyped H&S Audits)
Forgot to say yesterday, I had a client compliment me on my Pukka pad during a meeting on Monday. I bet she's got one by the time I go back for the next meeting
Better get back to it, just found some pork that was starting to get freezer burn, so that will have to do for tonight.0
