Purple princess - If it's any help to have other opinions I for one don't think you should take time off to go with your bro. If you feel you really must go (and this is what my thoughts were on it yesterday) take him to make sure he goes and that your dad doesn't try to go with him, and then when he is securely there tell him you're leaving him there to deal with it. He thought of only himself when he got in the mess and so he should get himself out.
I'm sure that once he is willing to face his responsibilites and make the effort you will be there for him 100%, but perhaps now he needs to be pushed to do just that?
I'm sorry if I'm speaking out of term - it's just my opinion so please ignore if it offends,

Morning :hello: ... Yucky weather here!
Woke up with a headache this morning and ALMOST couldn't be *rsed getting out of bed just to trek 15mins to the station in the rain, spend half an hour on the train which is like a greenhouse cos the windows were all shut, and trek another 15mins to work ... I HATE COMMUTING especially in this weather! ... Consoled myself with the thought that after I move, I will just have to pop out the front door and cross over the road to catch a bus for a 15 minute journey to work! (of course in fine weather I'm planning to walk/cycle) ... Went to a concert yesterday at the Proms (all the concerts are being broadcast on BBC4 at the moment if anybody's interested) ... and it turned into quite an eventful evening! ... First of all, my XBF, who I haven't seen for about a month (we both go to the Proms but have different tastes in music so don't actually cross paths too often) bought me some champagne while we chatted about soft furnishings (:o) ... and when I enquired about whether his new girlfriend would mind him buying me champagne, said "Oh well, women come and go but I know you'll end up marrying me eventually"  :rotfl: Says who? :rotfl: :rotfl: and I bet his current girlfriend would be THRILLED to know he feels like that :rotfl: :rotfl: ... THEN ... during the interval of the concert ... I got asked out on a date by somebody else!
... I said yes, but TBH I don't expect anything to come of it - the man in question is perfectly pleasant and we get on great, but I don't see him "like that"
... Anyhow, it looks like I'm in demand (I don't encourage them, honest!
) ... Anyway ... ((((hugs)))) to people who need them, esp Purple, sounds like you're having a hard time ... Got to go, I've got LOADS of work to do today ... See you later .. Rzl xx

It's been posted on here sometime last week, but Anthea did a slow motion demo on Richard and Judy.... which was quite easy to follow. Of course, DH now thinks that I'm completely barking mad!

It's the not encouraging them that does it hun
Well, I'm getting a bit fed up, both DH and DS are still in bed and I really need to hit the shops. I am tempted to pop into the hairdressers as I badly need my hair washed and I cannot do it myself. DH is useless at things like that
I keep feeling that would be a waste of money though? But it really gets me down when it's greasy and dirty as there is so much of it.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all. What a grim day! Feels like October rather than August. My jeans are all wet aroudn the hem (the curse of being 4ft 11 means that trousers never fit properly!).
Ah well, am happy as made £40 on ebay sales, which will pay for the two evening classes i've signed up for-Introduction to Silver Jewellery Making and Beginners Indian Cookery.
Congrats to LyndseyJane on your new job!
Hugs to everyone who needs them
Breakfast-crumpets with marmite
Lunch-homemade hummous, crispbreads and salad
tea-homemade fish cakes and veggies
P.S. Some cuteness here if anyone needs some cheering up.

Morning all, not having a good morning at all! lo did not sleep well last night, ds2 in tears this morning as his throat was sore, so he is off school, ds2 and lo were playing but somehow managed to butt each other! so lo has 2 cuts on his mouth, lets just say ds2 got quite a telling off!
School just phoned about ds1 his blood went down to 2.5 had his usual crisps/lucozade, they retested him down to 2.2! they phoned when i was putting lo down for sleep, who was fighting me all the way! phoned school and they had put him outside for break when he was 2.2! luckily his blood went up to 4.8 so that was good news.
What else is going to go wrong today then?:eek:0 -

Don't worry! It took me ages. It's only because they did it soooooooooo slowly on Richard and Judy that I stood half a chance of doing it.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Loubee,
What a disapointment, I was anticipating cute blokes, not furry things:p .
Sue
Catz, I couldn't get the hang of it, even when dd did it in front of me. I needed to see written instructions. Someone posted a link on one of the Anthea threads a few days ago.0 -

Loubee Congrats on making £40 on ebay. I keep thinking I'll look into it...I'm a hoarder and have so much stuff I could get rid of, but to be honest the thought of ebay scares the pants off me.
kyle I'm sorry you're not having a great day...hopefully it can only get better!
Not a lot Old Style done today, just the usual routine stuff so far.
The sun is shining here this morning and I ate breakfast in the back garden. I took Tilly (the kitten) out for the first time. She loved it!!! It was fantastic to watch her explore. I had to rattle her dish and feed her to get her back in again. Since then she's done nothing but meoww at the back door. Does anyone know how to train a kitten to come back to the right house? I'm terrified of losing her.
It should be a quietish day here.......DD is going shopping with a friend, DS1 is going fishing with my Dad and DS2 wants to go blackberry picking and make a blackberry pie with me. Can you make a blackberry pie on it's own? I've only ever had blackberry and apple.
It will probably be spaghetti bolognaise or pot luck for tea.....I'm working tonight and my first call is down the coast, a lovely drive in good weather, but it takes around 40 minutes to get there so I'll have to leave earlier than usual.
Have a lovely day everyone!and fingers crossed for anyone expecting GCSE results today.
