One day more before I get to see my " finished " house. I am struggling a bit with enthusiasm and energy levels so I hope that I get a bit inspired this week-end. I don' t seem able to make decisions on money and what I am doing at the moment so hopefully that will sort itself out. I have sold a book on Amazon, now I just need to find it.
Three weeks to my holiday, I am realizing that I need it, and I am a lucky person to be able to go. I am sure that a bit of sun and being in a different country will make all the difference.0 -
Great news your house is almost there - I feel so much better now the end is in sight. It really feels like the work has dragged, not sure if its the same for you. Hopefully when that weight is off your mind you might be able to make some more financial plans - or maybe post holiday, when you've had some proper time off.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Everything is going well, I cooked in my kitchen this week end for the first timie on my new cooker, lovely.
I am in London this week end so I can get sorted out. I realized yesterday thatI booked the wrong flight, 10 in the morning instead of10 at night so I need to change it.honestly I really am worried about my brain these days.
I have also made a dress for my holiday which has surprised me by being wearable. I don 't want to buy clothes whilst losing weight. I have a whole wardrobe of stuff from size 16 to 22 depending on where I am I should have some stuff to wear tha hasn't seen the light of day for a while!0 -
Good day at work yesterday, still haven ' t managed to change my flight which is a worry. Must do that if nothing else today. My newish Mac has gone in for investigation, as it is getting too hot. It' s under
guarantee but life without it is a bit difficult. Still third sunny day on the trot which is not to be sniffed at.
At some point I really do need to see where the money is! I have added the money my brother borrowed to the mortgage as that was the cheapest way to do it but it is a bit lowering as it means I haven't paid anything off yet this year.0 -
OK getting a grip today. Got weighed in at WW yesterday for the first time for three weeks and I had lost 8lbs, which has really cheered me up. I am making good progress on that without really doing anything difficult. The new pro-points system is really easy if you like fruit and vegetables. Logging everything I eat on the web-site also makes it harder to cheat!
I am going to a preview of an exhibition at the V&A this afternoon and then going on to meet friends for dinner. At some point I will iron everything for my holidays. Most suitable clothing got packed away clean but creased at the end of the summer.
I don't think I said that I had bought some trainer type fit flops a couple of weeks ago, they are so comfortable I am genuinely slightly in love with them. They are worth the money as my planar heel pain has gone since wearing them which is a relief.
I am also planting my tomato seeds indoors today.0 -
Today I will:
Clean the bathroom
Clean the kitchen
Do 2 loads of washing
Iron remaining clothes for holiday
Plant tomato seeds
Tidy bedroom
Hoover bedroom and living room
Sort out what knitting I am taking on holiday
Download Kindle to my IPAD
Walk in the sun to do 10,000 steps, for tomorrow it may rain
Give up sugar in the first coffee of the day (I don't have it in anything else-costly points aberration that needs to stop)
I feel ready for a big splurge of activity I had better get going before it up and goes.0 -
Well done on weight loss! :j How was the preview yesterday?
Good look for the activity today, and definitely get out and enjoy the sunshine - it is so uplifting to be in the sunshine!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Hi :-). I like your diary post. It is not advisable to "borrow" in order to lend to your brother in my opinion. Couldn't you have just showed him or told him you didn't have the money? Does he know you did that?
Feel free to make this a "none of your business" type post and not reply at all. I won't mind that at all.0 -
Hi Both, the V&A Yamamoto show is truly wonderful MW, all the clothes are on open display I am not sure how that will work once the real visitors are in. The whole thing is a site specific installation. You must go it is extraordinary.
Twiga, sometimes you have to do what is right in the circumstances. I am a payer not a saver and can always take money out of the overpayment pot in an emergency. I am very fortunate to be employed in a job I love for a good salary. It is bad financial timing as it has clashed with paying for my holiday but by June I will be back on track.0 -
Coffee £2.10. Swimming costume £15 (M&S sale)
I "think" that I have managed to set up a sellers account on Ebay.................I don't have time to sell anything big before I go away but I should be able to really hit it when I get back, this will be good as I am still clambering over two sofas and an extra chair in my not very capacious living room.
Yesterday I cheated and over ate on WW for the first time in nine weeks, I am back on the wagon today though very annoyed with myself. I will try and do a bit of rebalancing over the next few days I may even need to brave swimming to get some activity going.0
