  • Thanks to all of you for your kind messages. I've not made it out running since last week - spend endless hours pacing hospital corridors though (!)

I remain determined and will definitely be back soon. Next year I hope to be able to run the whole Race for Life - a real goal to work towards.

Congratulations to the rest of you for all your hard running. Keep going!

The sunshine is in Edinburgh for a change! Just did w6r2 and found it very difficult to complete, my calves were quite tight and sore and the sun was beating down on me worse than ever! Has scared me a bit as I realised I now have no more intervals left! Hope to do run 3 on Friday but I'm only going to try it if it is a bit cooler or overcast otherwise I think I'll have no chance.

I love to see so many new people joining all the time to start the programme. I remember someone else being worried about having no intervals left when I was at the start struggling to run the 90 secs and now I'm in that position, the time flys by so fast.

    Well done everyone!

My thighs are killing me from my runs yesterday (1st day of the Couch to 5k application on Iphone) - oh the shame!

It said I had until Wednesday though... thank god!!!

I can't believe I am in so much pain! Shows its helping though!

Its half term right now so will be going swimming tomorrow with little one, but I wont be able to swim.. just try and teach her as I am taking her to the gym and its not a fun pool...

I will do my run either before my husband leaves for work, or when he comes home...

Don't worry about the pain, I think we all have had it after the first run or two, it goes away quickly :)

Rea- yeah it's warm with a nice cool breeze now and again. Looks like it will stay nice in the evening too so maybe you'll be able to get some sun later. Do you know if Parkrun do the timed 5ks in Edinburgh? I'm thinking I might try and do that once I complete Week 9.

Yeah they do it at Cramond, I used to live near there, really nice place to run :) maybe see you there ;) (if I ever complete week 8, nevermind week 9!)

Just looked it up, it looks like a really well organised event, much more official than I would have expected. I think I will volunteer to help first to get an idea of what to expect then hopefully I will be able to run it at the start of July!

Hope the end of work goes fast for you.

    Hi all,
Have been out tonight for a sneaky 3km run. Met hubby and kids at the park afterwards, so thought out a route while I was running to end up there. Then hubby pointed out afterwards that we live across the road from the park and I was just skiving!!! :rotfl:It was hot though. Need to up my game as it's the 5km next Weds  Am hoping the atmosphere of the evening will see me through.

Drea - cheeky suggestion - when you get a minute do you think you could add the sites for after 5kms that people have recommended onto your first post? Can see it being something that gets asked for often (not by me :o), so might be handy. Will send you a pm,

    How is everyone doing??
    Now proud Mumto3 :j
