Just done wk2 run2 I found it ok it was nice running in the sun. I think the music is a lot better on wk2 its more upbeat it's not really all my taste in music but it really does encourage you to run along to the beat and keep going.

Thanks all. I've been meaning to start every night this week but life really does take over doesn't it?

If I can't start tomorrow it will be Friday (I'm out tonight) then I hope to get a run in either Saturday or Sunday morning, depending which day I start. I have also joined a gym and plan to swim on Monday mornings, yoga on Tuesdays and pilates on Thursdays. So if I can run on Wednesday nights , Friday nights and Sunday nights will that be ok? I know you're supposed to rest in between but is a stretching exercise like yoga ok?

Wow that's a lot to keep up with. Good luck keep us updated with your progress. When ds is back at school I would like to try to fit swimming in once every couple of weeks as well.

It's probably too much I know, but I figure if I start hard and then drop one or two things its not the end of the world!

The app I use just bleeps when it's time to jog/walk, it doesn't have any music. It's called C25K Free and is the one in partnership with Breast Cancer Care.

Thanks for this, found it much easier without the music on the treadmill, if I ever get brave enough to venture outside I will probably use the music. ;)

I usually run with music, I find it really motivating. Even on the road I'm aware, but tonight I went for a run and my ipod was dead. I'm really observant when running for cars and such like, even when my music is on, but I never see the scenery, my OH thinks I'm strange, clearly I am.

Anyhow, I went out with the aim of running for 25 mins, I've not run that far before, but as I had no music it was really difficult and I only made 23 mins and 17 seconds, but it's my furthest run time so far. If I'd had my music I'm sure I could have run for longer, oh well, next time.

I prefer running with music especially the podcasts as I don't need to look at a stopwatch, if I did I would be checking it every 10 seconds.

Well done on your longest run :T that is a really good time. I am dreading next week (wk3) when I have to run for 3 minutes

I never ever in my wildest dreams thought I would be able to run for 23 minutes, I assume you feel the same at the moment but if I can do it i'm sure you can, it just takes time.

I've never ever before in my life (and I'm 49) been able to run before, even at school.
