B*gger - they technically owe me £840 for my mine and my daughters mobiles. I will have to get in touch with Vodaphone and 3 and try and get the tarrif dropped down as I cannot afford £35 each a month.

I cannot believe that there isn't legislation out there to protect consumers.

Grrrr  - just before Christmas as well. Fingers crossed they come back with some good news on Monday

I am on the phone now with 3 reporting simply3g. Fair play to 3, they are taking my complaint seriously and will be escelating this matter as I have informed them that simply3g are still taking on new customers who are unaware of them and offering them cashback incentives to sign up.

Looks like you are going to have to go down the small claims route to get any money folks. If you are gonna do it do it quick but consider the possibility that u may be losing your court fees if they go bust before you get through court process. Check out mobile affiliates thread for info.

Interesting to note that they are registered as a sole trader. If not a limited company could push an individual to bankruptcy. Not just do a runner as 'directors' can in ltd companies. Could be interesting.

    Dear Customer,

First of all I would like to apologise for the delay you have experienced in
receiving your current cashback claims. 2007 has been a very challenging
year for us and we have been working hard to resolve our financial standings
to honour all current cashback claims. So that we can do this we have made
significant cuts across our operation starting with our inbound call centre
staff and office. This is the reason we are no longer able to offer a
telephone service due to our staffing levels being cut by 80% - We do have
and will continue to have an email service for you to use to contact us.
We have been talking to our suppliers and distributors to find a solution to
the current issue we are having in making payments to customers and this
should be finalised within the next 3 - 5 days. We are also in talks with
Trading Standards keeping them informed of the situation. We are sincerely
sorry for the issues you are currently experiencing with Simply3G and we
respect and understand your frustration at this time.
We are aware of other companies collapsing through this year and we remain
committed to finding a solution to protect our customers rather than going
down this route. We have retracted from our previous offerings to help us
move forward in the coming years which has lead to us being uncompetitive in
the market place at this time.

Further information will be communicated to you on Monday 10th Dec 2007.

    Kind regards

    Simply3G

I doubt 3 will do a thing to be honest. Experience with mobile affiliates collapse is that they make the right noises and do sweet fa. They could not care less, trust me.

Oh Bo*&^%cks !! They used to be reliable for cashback, and my quidco tracked and paid out fine from August, and tracked okay from November order. Thankfully, the contracts are with 3 and are much better value than the other networks and the cb element was not huge, only around £200 over 18 mths over both ctts. Will have to monitor this closely as first cb is due to be claimed in January.....win some lose some...

  • Has anyone heard what the announcement from Simpy3G is yet?

I have just chased them but not heard anything back. Will update the forum if/when I hear something.
