  • hi

i could vouch for simply3g - good and trustworth for me... have received 2 checks bang on time with no issues!

    good luck!

I agree with this post... No problems with Simply 3G!
  • as my above post, just got notification of cashback received and approved from them so they still get a thumbs up :)
  • they wouldnt honour my cashback as they claimed they never recieved it the mail gets collected by someone who works in the hole building and there are more than just them in the building.

it was too convenient for my liking as it was in NOV and it was 2 lots of cashbacks both for 6 months worth £240 on each contract.

I would stay away but then again everyone has had different experiences with different companys.

I will never buy another Vauxhall but no people wont buy anything else.

I would avoid Simply3G if I were you. I have had a number of chequeback deals in the past (with other companies) and have never had a problem until now.

I took out a contract with '3' in July through Simply 3G. It seemed like a wonderful deal at the time.

During the first two four months I only received two of the bills '3' sent me - so I rang '3' and asked them to send me them again. '3' would only send them to me if I agreed to pay £5 each for them. I then rang and spoke to Simply 3G and advised that I had not received two of the bills and that I was requesting that '3' send them through to me again.

When the bills arrived they were on headed paper with the red '3' logo. I queried this with '3' as I had asked them to send out the originals to me - they advised me that these bills would be fine.

I sent them off to Simply3G - who have basically told me to get lost - so I am now out of pocket by £120 from Simply 3G and £10 for reprints of bills which are absolutely useless.

I have tried appealing to Simply 3G's better nature - but this has not worked at all.

Can anyone suggest any arguements that I could use that might be able to sway Simply 3G? Is there any point in me looking into getting legal advice about this?

I WILL DEFINATELY AVOID SIMPLY 3G IN FUTURE - THEIR POLICIES ARE FAR TOO STRICT AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICES TEAM ARE UNHELPFUL.

Hi, if my memory serves me right when I was looking around for contract mobiles I think this was one of the companies to steer clear of. If you want more detailed info on mobile phone reviews and/or cashback deals from companies try looking at the 3g forum, (http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum) I found loads of useful info on there when I was looking. Don't think you have to register to read the forum but would need to reg if you wanted to ask questions.

Hope this reply is o.k. I am sure if it isn't one of the mods will remove it.

    Cheers x
  • I have the same issue with Simply 3G as the original poster - and I'm furious with them.

They haven't just charged me £1.99 once, but they charged me twice - apparently the reason for this was because I had initially tried to get the phone delivered to a different address to my card address, and therefore they had to run the security check twice.

I cancelled the phone within 15 minutes after realising that I might have made a mistake, but they have still taken £3.98 from my account without my knowledge.

Fees like this should not be hidden in the terms and conditions - that's simply not the way an honourable company operates.

You'll notice that their terms and conditions make no reference to this charge being non-refundable though:

    "Online Security:

All credit/debit cards used for payments and orders processed on this website, will be verified using HSBC card processing services. Where a handset is advertised as free, a charge of £1.99 will be applied for on line security verification – This is to verify you are the registered card holder, living at the address you have submitted on the application, and that the card is not stolen. You can feel 100% safe when using this website, and you may double click on the padlock at anytime to check the certification of our SSL. The padlock will appear in the bottom of your browser when you are visiting a secure page."

With this being such an insignificant amount of money I can't understand why they would refuse to refund us. I mean for such a small amount of money they are risking a massive amount of negative PR.

    Hi all

    Anyone used them lately?

I know they used to have a lot of problems in the past re: cash back claims etc.

    But anyone used them recently?

    Any info?

    Thanks

I bought from them via www.quidco.com and also received £22.50.
They did initially send me the wrong charger and I sent it back and got my £1.99 credit check fee refunded(was the postage anyway).

When I despatched the bill 1-4 I made sure they went recorded and tracked the progress. When they arrived I phoned on their nice freephone number
08006300623 and the guy told me that my claim had been approved and my cheque will be despatched as per the t&c's within 45 days.

I want to give notice to '3' one month before my contract expires(12 month contract) but I am unsure whether Simply 3g will honour the 3rd cashback claim.Any ideas.....
