iPhone '4' thread

Speaking a an Android user, I am commenting on this thread just to give my opinion.
As I have stated before the iphone does not suit my needs, nice looking device though it is.
There are two iphone users in my house, who love theirs.
I doubt very much the 4G is the "biggest thing since sliced bread"
(I am not in an 18th month contract either.)
I'm in a very similar position. I have nephews and neices who have iPhones and love them. It just doesn't suit my needs. I do think the new screen looks lovely and look forward to other devices (with the other features I value)adopting a similar size and resolution.
I'm two months into a 24 month contract, but that doesn't tie me to the Desire. I was going to buy it SIM free, but it worked out cheaper to take a £10 a month deal from T-Mobile which I did. If a new phone comes along which is significantly better than the Desire, I'll buy it SIM free (as I originally intended), stick the T-Mobile SIM in it and eBay the Desire. But the phone exceeds most of my current requirements and I don't anticipate changing it any time soon.
Unless someone brings out something with everthing I need and a higher resolution screen ...There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

So now I go out and buy one of those desire phones, then - is that right? So that people don't think I'm a chav? Right? Just because you say so? Right?
Uh huh....
WHOOSH!!! Point well and truly missed.... :eek:0 -

Hey Morpheus... Some people are giving their opinions (such as your good self), but other people are just iphone hating because they're fan boys of the competition and completely dismissing/ignoring our arguments
And you're spot on - its about choice. I choose to go with a sexy beautiful fast working device which has eveyrthing i want, plus Genius!
One feature not ANY other device has. Genius.

This has to be the biggest irony ever surely... when most iPhone users (that I know anyway) have to get the iPhone on 24 month contracts to be able to afford one.
Possibly, but it may also be that working out the cost per month by adding in the cost of the phone and the line rental the 24 months work out cheaper per month.
(Based on 16gb 3gs) Cheapest o2 tarrif over the contract term is £719, (18m £30 per month), on Orange it's £729 (18M 30 PCM), (Voda only do 24 months on iPhone as far as I can see).
However it's a fiver a month less on a 24 month contract, so although the total contract cost is more it's cheaper as a monthly outgoing. The difference between 18M and 24M is £130 on o2 and £60 on Orange at this level so it's cheaper in terms of monthly outgoing if not overall cost. Moving to the £35(18m) and £30 (24M) the differnce in total cost is £90 and £30 respectivly/
Do people see the monthly cost or the total cost, I suspect the former not the latter.0 -
Just read the article 'I Phone 4 to launch on all 4 networks'. Price suggested by Apple is £138 and £207. Is this right? Very low compared to what's on offer at the moment. Does this mean I will be able to use my T mobile pay monthly SIM in the I Phone 4? Great news if I can.0

 I know were 588 posts in now and i've been joining in too but as the thread starter can I respectfully ask for all the stupid "Andriod is better" posts to stop. This is about the iPhone 4 so can we keep it on topic and prehaps discuss about features, design, possible costs, what your planning on doing on the 24th, are you gonna pre order if possible or queue? Will it be your first iPhone, post any new pictures, reviews or anything you can find to get us excited about the next generation iPhone rather than discuss Andriod which I personally have no interest in.
This thread is gonna become so soooo boring if all people are reading is......

They did as a matter of fact. An almost identical thread to this one. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
