Hi Lonestar
Here's a link to the iPhone 4 User Guide from Apple (clicky). I've saved a copy to my pc and I look at it quite regularly. I find that it's a good reference if I have any problems.
I've also got the iPod Touch manual saved too (clicky) so that I've got it if I need it for the kids.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
I was looking at the Iphone 4 on tesco mobile, but it says out of stock on the website. Is it possible to get this deal instore and if so anyway to find out if a specifc store has any in stock?0

You can get the iphones from stores which have a phone shop. If you go on the Tesco website there is a search facility to find your nearest store with one. You have to phone the individual stores to check their stock levels. They seem to hold lists of people interested in the iphone, and will call when they get stock, but you have to get to the store while they still have them as you cannot reserve a phone.
You can't order the iphone from the Tesco website but if you phone the order number and ignore the recorded message saying they have no iphones you will get through to a member of the sales team. If they really don't have stock they will try to sell you something else then if you are lucky they may offer to take your number and call you back when they get stock. Took me a month of calling to get my iphone 4 from them but it was definatly worth it.
Good luck!0 -
I just wanted to let everyone know that the 3-week waiting time for your iPhone to arrive is an absolute killer!! I've still got 10 days to go and I'm getting more impatient as time goes slowly by.
I've been filling the time by converting DVDs to MP4, downloading lots of free apps and spending a massive 59p each on the Lucas Arts "Secret of Monkey Island" and its sequel (classic old 1990s "point and click" adventure games about a wannabe pirate, voodoo, monkeys and grogg - completely remastered and they've put voices to them). On the basis that the phone is actually my birthday pressie from Mrs Grouch (she'll do anything to stop me from winging), I'm now going to look for a Gollum iPhone cover. In the beginning, the universe was created. I'm with Orange and have just hit my renewal date (that is, I've only got three months of my last contract left and Orange will let me upgrade now to lock me into a new contract before the old one runs out!). I haven't paid for a handset in years as I've always gone for the best of those offered free against my contract, but I'm really tempted by the iphone4.
As I've been with orange for years - I get my home broadband from them for just £5 a month as long as I keep my monthly mobile contract at £30+ a month.
They're offering me a 16gb iphone4 for £119 or a 32gb for £219 on a £35 contract for 24 months. This package has 600 mins, unlimited texts, 750mb internet (plus 3gb wireless?) and sat nav. I'm really tempted, but don't know if this is a ooh-what-a-fab-new-gadget moment, or if it's really a good deal.
Because I feel locked into Orange because of the linked broadband deal, I've not really shopped around. So I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts?Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T

Finally managed to get my iphone4 from tescos last week.
Just had a quick question:
Is there a radio app that does not use data?
I listen to radio one on my commute in and out to work - About 2 hours in total.
As far as I can see they are all internet radios which will obviously use data.
If there are not any radio receiver apps, does anyone know roughly how much data streaming 2 hours of radio a day, 5 days a week would eat up?
Cheers0 -

Double that to 500MB per week for a decent quality 128kbps stream (radio one etc)poppy100 -
My iPhone arrived a week early. I have no signal drop at all and it just works!! It's fantastic.
Without a doubt, it's the best phone, music player, pocket gaming system, sat nav and pocket browser I've owned. I'm so pleased with it. It wouldn't suit everyone, but it suits me.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
Hi guys, loving my iPhone 4. I got my bf to buy a iPhone 4 today. We bought it sim free from Apple. Now he has a 3GS with a 24 month contract with orange. We need a micro sim and want to keep that same contract. Will orange give us a new sim?0
-
They will send you a free microsim, you just need to call and ask.
I got mine on Thursday but my number won't port until Tuesday so I have to carry on using my 3GS until then. Screen is much clearer, I'm surprised by the difference.0
