Probably not and I wonder if many iPhone 4 owners will care?
I had a chat with a few iPhone 4 owners over the weekend and they all can reproduce the issue and have either bought 'bumpers' for their phones or already had a case. They don't seem to be that fazed by what is looking like a pretty poor design flaw.
I would be somewhat livid and especially as it increasingly looks the case that Apples explanation about signal software problems doesn't seem to hold up.
Wow, Apple seem to be pretty !!!!ed off about the Cosnumer Reports and Engadget confirmation that the iPhone 4 has a major design fault with the antenna. They are deleting all mentions of it on their forums - presumably everyone has to stick to the official Jobs mantra that it is just a software interface issue.
Engadget: Apple deleting mentions of Consumer Reports' iPhone 4 piece on forums, can't delete your thoughtsConsumer Reports tested three iPhone 4s and several other AT&T phones in their RF isolation chamber that simulates varying levels of signal from every carrier, and found that the iPhone 4 was the only handset to suffer signal-loss issues. What's more, CR directly says that its findings call Apple's explanation of a miscalculated signal meter into questionpoppy100 -
Do Tesco do 18month contracts or is it 12 month or nothing at all?0
-
Just been on the phone to my local tesco if anyone is interested and the bloke said they were expecting some in this Friday and it would be a "significant amount" they would be getting. Also asked if he knew when they might be getting it in white and he said "to be honest it will probably be some time".
I now have a dilemma as I much prefer the look of the white one and I was waiting for that to come out but typically the screen has gone on my Nokia N95 today! Trying to think if there's any wat I could get the black for now and try and take it back and buy the white one when it's out? I doubt it though if I'm buying it on contract which I am.
So it's either that or I'll have to borrow my gf's pink phone until the white Iphone comes out which could end up being anoher month or 2 by the time they are in shops such as Tesco!!!0
