the three plans still arent very clear i assume the 35 a month where u have to pay more for the phone is 18 months?

No still 24 months, you just get more monthly minutes for the same price i.e. 2000mins @ £169 handset cost instead of 900 @ £99 handset cost

The online PDF states that all contracts are 24 months

Hey, just looking for a bit of advice here. My 18 month contract with O2 ends in a months time. I'm very keen to up grade to the iphone 4. I have no real loyalty with any network so am happy to switch.

I need around 600 mins a month and want the 32gb iphone 4. Taking everything into consideration it seem that the Tesco 12 month deal works out cheapest. I love the idea of a 12 month deal as well as I shuold be free to upgrade again to iphone 5 this time next year!

Do you guys think I have done my sums correctly?

    Cheers!

    Dave

Taken from your link at Techradar "Although when we tested a call, it didn't really seem to affect the quality." seems it is just a visual effect. Seems you didn't read it all. Also if you look on the many forums today of people who have recieved the phone in the UK it seems less than 1% have had this even thogh they have held the phone as demonstrated, so it could be an issue with the early American model as all sites reporting this problem show the phone on AT&T and only one shows it on a european network. it often helps to read around.

Damn! I don´t know if I want to buy this anymore.
I have had the original iphone since it was released. Got the i4 yesterday. Can no longer get the network in my house. Only "No Service." That has never been the case before.confused.gif

I got the iphone 4 from tescos today (£349 on 12 month, £20 a month contract).

However I got 1738 points for this - 1000 points for taking the phone, plus double points on the cost of buying the phone & first months contract.

This is worth £17.38 in store - or if you use the clubcard deals, almost £70!

Plus you get triple points ongoing - i.e. assuming a £20 a month contract, that's 60 points a month - working out being worth £2.40 worth of clubcard deals.

Also, luckily for me, a mate from work was also in store buying one today, and didn't have a clubcard. Tried to convince him to sign up, but instead he just said to use my clubcard! Result!

Yep as I said they are all in the USA oh bar one comment on Macroumors quote:"I just tested my 3GS and no such issue. Full 5 bars, although on an Orange network in the EU." now a lot have said it is happening with the 3gs on os4 so it still looks like a simple software problem.
It seems things are now coming out that this problem is from a batch initialy sent to AT&T which happened to be one of the first manufactured and for some reason a bunch of them made it to the UK, also the issue has not occured on any phone in a case, now in saying this there have been several metal cased phones from various manufacturers in the past that have had signal issues due to sweaty hands.

    What's your old phone ?

If your acc has roaming on it any tri band phone will work in the US. But don't use any data, on some US networks you'll be changed up to £10 a meg.
