given the sim free price is £569 from Tescos and gives you free wifi, is there any point in gettig the £599 from Apple ? (no wifi with that right ?)
Free Wifi with Tesco but you would have to use Tesco to make calls. So good if you're happy with that or you won't be making calls. If you already have a contract that you want to continue, you'll either need to be on Tesco or O2 (as these phones will, most likely, be locked to O2 (inc Tesco) or buy a SIM free handset from Apple if you're on another network. The SIM free handsets will not include any calls or wifi access.0 -
I'm out of contract with o2 at the moment, reception is patchy at work so I want to jump ship. I've got a 32gb pre-ordered from Apple, just wondering now what direction to go in. not tied to any subscriber, so can do what I like0

Don't know if your know, but Tesco mobile uses O2s network, just something to be aware of.0 -

What was it that we used to say when we were kids? Ah yes, "oink, flap, oink, flap".
Tesco still having stock on Friday is one thing, but them being (probably) the only place on the planet to have the iPhone in white is certainly enough to get those pigs flying:eek:
Good luck, though0 -
Maybe this has been answered already...
Does anyone know if I can buy a sim-free iPhone 4 from Apple and then just put my O2 pay-monthly sim into it? Of course, I'll need to switch to the micro-sim which I believe O2 will give me free of charge.
The reason is I don't want to make any new contracts with O2 or pay an early upgrade fee. And at the end of my current contract, I'd rather switch to the cheaper simplicity tariffs.0 -

i know its tomorrow im not stupid!What goes around-comes around0 -
Whilst I'm grateful that Tesco have announced their PAYG pricing, according to reports Tesco will not being selling PAYG for the time being. I'm hoping the reports are incorrect but they're probably right. I reserved my iPhone from Apple but as I'm on O2, a PAYG iPhone from Tesco with a 10% staff discount is preferred!
Anyway, I've got an iPhone 4 either way tomorrow so perhaps I should shut up.
