It seems you can't buy the iPhone 4 online from Tesco. When I clicked on buy pay monthly, the following came up:

'To buy your Pay Monthly iPhone

    Call us on 0800 00 14 150
    Our lines are open:
    Mon - Fri 8:00am 9:00pm
    Sat 08:00 am to 08:00pm
    Sun 10:00am to 6:00pm

    or
    Visit a Phone Shop'
Find your nearest Phone Shop using our

I called that number and the member of staff informed me that you can order via the telephone from 9am tomorrow, and orders placed before mid-day would arrive on Friday 25 June.

IMO Tesco's are cheaper as their billing is practically primeval! I asked them how I could work out how much data I was using each month and this was their response...........

Vodafone's not much better to be honest... with them you have to log in your online account (when it works), go to your unbilled section (when it lets you view it), download to Excel, sort the data by the right type, bin the bits you don't need so that you're left only with the Data usage, do a search/replace in that column to remove the "Kb", autosum and then divide the result by 1024

Edit: VF have recently released their own iPhone app to check usage, but apparently they got things a bit muddled and the fields are parsed wrongly...
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail

Wow, I've just stumbled upon something that's seriously taken the wind out of my system!

I was checking my credit report today, out of curiosity, and there's a Default notice on it that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to my father but they've added it to my credit report! I rang Experian and told them to sort it out, they said they'd remove it in the next 7 days.

This is ridiculous! I'll probably get rejected by Tesco now due to a crap credit rating through no fault of my own. I guess I'll try to get iPhone on the telephone and if they reject me, I'll just pick up my reserved iPhone from Apple, wait til the default notice has been removed, and get an O2 Simplicity sim.

    What a downer.

Just spoke to the 2 Orange shops in town:

1 - (Old Link) had a reservation list with 11 names on it and had already run out of stock to allocate
2 - Nice guy in there told me they had 3 phones, 1 of which was 32GB
Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though

oh no :( is it because you have the same name? you might not get rejected over one default though

Yeah we share the same first and last names, but different middle names. Experian have ruined everything, haha.

I hope they accept it, I've been waiting too long for something ridiculous like this to stop me from great success, as Borat would say.

I had something similar on my record from Equifax, credit card info from one belonging to my father, different first names although the same middle and surname. Interestingly the Equifax system didn't seem to take issue with the rather slight anomaly of my credit information showing me as alive and the holder of the credit card being deceased...
