Disappointing that there's no PAYG at launch with O2.

Indeed, feel sorry for those that have waited for O2 to release PAYG prices before deciding on getting one, will be a long wait in a queue on launch day at Apple or having to wait some time before getting their hands on one at all

What are you doing about a microsim? Have o2 sent you one? Are they going to?

My iPhone is being delivered by Apple on 24th June, but I haven't contacted O2 about microsim. Hope Apple have made some kind of arrangement for microsims, don't want iPhone 4 on 24th and not able to use it because no sim.

Still, if it came down to it, I'll get the scissors out....

I can't see the leaked Vodafone prices being what we're actually offered.
£30/40 less than Orange and o2 for the 32gb on similarly priced plans? We can only hope.

Using the details above over 24 months it works out £20 cheaper by contract. Only drawback is the long contract.

    12 x £20 = £240 + £499 16gb iphone4 = £689 (O2 simplicity and PAYG phone)
    12 x £35 = £420 + £119 16gb iphone4 = £539 (orange upgrade, but tied into 24 months)

would it be the end of the world for me to be tied into a 24 month contract if it meant getting the phone on release date and not having the hassle of transferring networks? Plus Orange offering 750mb compared to 500mb on O2. I think I'll do it.
Well you'll miss iPhone 5 which will prob have Facetime over 3G (hopefully), larger sized phones, and maybe a few other little upgrades but yeh nothing huuuuge...

iphone 6 will prob be a big upgrade when wi-max networks are public

I think I might prefer to just upgrade with Orange and miss out on the iphone 5 but ready and poised for the 6. Plus as i've never had an iphone before anything will be a bonus :rotfl:

Has anyone noticed too that Orange are offering black or white. I can't see that O2 have specified anywhere? I'm convincing myself now to go with Orange aren't i?

Plus......my Dad is on Orange PAYG and keeps getting texts that he has £30 ish towards a new phone.
Would Orange let me put that towards the cost of the £119 phone, with papa's permission of course!

Has anyone actually talked to Orange about upgrading?
I was about to but they have a recorded message saying if you were calling about the iPhone4 the representatives have no information at present blah blah etc etc. Wasn't in the mood for a "did you not listen to the recorded message" conversation so just hung up.
