Yes, letters should appear as you type them...perhaps you need a left hand click of the mouse to begin before you begin to write text.0 -

Right Click on the 'D' drive and choose Explore. I sure you've burned the disc correctly.0 -

This is going to take a long time, maybe you should call your friend in to help?
All we are trying to find out is what files are on the disc, you have used explorer before to backup your files, this should be simple, click on the d: drive and look.!!

Not a problem. If you followed the instruction as to how to create the disc, it should be fine.
Maybe you can try once more booting with the DSRFIX. If you can't get past the entering of the text, we'll abandon that idea.
Take the disc out, reboot and re-try Ctrl + F11.0 -
I have DSRFIX in a Documents File and when I click on that it has a heading
DSRFIXCD.ISO
Disc burner: DVD R drive (D)
Status: to start burning the disc click BURN
Verify disc after burning
Oh no, does this mean I haven't burned the disc correctly?0 -
Try booting, hold down Contol and F11 keys together, one second after switching on, keep them held down for 10 seconds.,
If it still doesn't work, See post 56, and follow it to the letter, you need to use imgburn to burn the disc, write image to disc option!!
