To be sure you are doing the right thing, follow the instructions here from Step 2.

Nothing really there you have to read. Just for you to follow the Restore instruction in Step 3. We should speed this up a bit, otherwise it could take all day. ;)
So we should give each step a time limit. :)

Sorry for the delay. Tried it a few times again and nothing just opens up windows as before.

Ok, next we can see if your Recovery Partition is still there, as this is the preferred option. If it works all your Drivers will be installed automatically.
So, now you have to go to the technical website. :D You'll need a blank CD-R and to download and install ImgBurn.

Once completed, download and save DSRFIX.iso to your desktop and follow the instructions here to create the disc.

Once completed, place the disc in the Dell's drive and re-start. Hit 'Enter' when presented with 'Boot from CD' or similar.

When you see the flashing cursor, enter DSRFIX and hit 'Enter'.

You can either make a note of what is written in the report and relay it here or create a text file containing the information if you have a spare USB drive, thus.

I've got to go out for a couple of hours. Don't worry, you won't do any harm. I'll be back to help you with the next steps.

Yes, as long there is space remaining. It's like an external hard disk.

Hellsbells! Sorry guys, think I am doing something wrong yet again!

1 Do I need to make a CD copy of Imgburn or do I just download it? I have actually already downloaded it but want to check before I go to the next stage of DSRFIX

2 When I dowload DSRFIX and click on it, it is automatically asking me if I want to burn it to a disc???
