OMG, I've saved MCE to disc okay, I don't believe it:j:j:j:j:j:T:T:T:T

Meant to ask do I need to save the WinRAR website download onto a disc?

Next question, what happens next is that me finally ready to start afresh with loading everything back on?

I am absolutely sure that you have not created the disc correctly, just from reading your description. I have a headache. :)

I told you to go to PM. Unless someone speaks to you, you haven't a hope of getting this right.

You have a headache, I'm having a nervous breakdown!

    Ok, I'll pm you.

Well, here I am on windows XP thanks to Donnie's help:j:j

Still got a bit to go with getting everything back on pc. Not sure if I am able to do that with instructions given here or not?????

Going out tonight so won't be able to do anything with pc but if instructions given here and it is safe for me to proceed on my own then I'll give it a go.

Oh one thing, screen is now showing with large print which means I am unable to read contents within the screen.Having to use arrows at the bottom to move website across the screen to be able to read all contents. In other words, how do I reduce the size of the print, I don't know the term for that, surprise, surprise:rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks, that makes sense as I know I have still to install remainder of drivers, documents, etc.

Managed to alter it in the meantime by adjusting the resolution of the screen. Did this by right double clicking on desktop, clicking properties, then adjusted the resolution until I got a size where I could see everything on the screen at one time.

Must admit so far I have been enjoying the use of Windows XP again. PC is much more responsive when using it.

Actually I not sure that all went well.... as you say XP is installed, instead of XP MCE. The problem being that you weren't prompted to enter your XP MCE key, which would prompt the extra components of MCE to install.

Can you do the Flying Windows key + Pause Break key thing ;) in order to report which edition of XP is indicated?

My mistake, just checked as above and it is definitely Windows XP Media Centre Edition. Forgot about the end part, I'm so used to just calling it Windows XP.
Hope you a breathing a sigh of relief there Donnie:rotfl:

If you call having someone's hands squeezing your neck, "breathing a sigh of relief", then yes.... I'm "breathing a sigh of relief". ;)
