    Best thing for me was seeing my delicious dark dark iris has decided to flower this year. I planted it about 5 years ago and this will be it's first bloom. I'd given up!
    Second place has to be the reduction in aphids this year - we saw lots of ladybirds earlier and I haven't sprayed with anything.
    Also I had plums on my plum tree for the first time, my clematis is covered in blooms, and having weeded my veg patch it looks like a lovely little potager.

    Picking a punnet full of strawberries ... I could smell them!
    So many plums this year, been busy thinning out (goes against the grain, but last year we had none, and I understand I got to stop the little tree from exhausting itself if I don't want bi-annial fruiting) and looking forward to pies and jam...
    Rocket new potatoes flowering now, must be nearly ready ...

    Being able to put a plastic trowel into the veg patch with ease, it used to be a paved path with solid clay underneath! :j
