I'm smiling because the rain yesterday has saved me standing today in this nithering wind watering all my pots and tubs!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm smiling because I'm pretty sure I found some sort of plum tree in my new garden. I also found that a wisteria I thought was dead is alive, and its white and I love the less common white one.

I also found a very old single rose. Its very beautiful but has been neglected, I thought it was dead when I saw it at first but now I know its about 9 foot of old brown twig with three feet flowering growth way up there. I think ts too old to take well to being moved.

Everything in my garden makes me smile - the flowers on my tomatoes, courgettes and strawberries, the salads i planted last week that have sprouted already, the 20 minutes peace and quiet i have out there every morning before work and every evening after work that keeps me sane :)
And my second year of growing my own veg so already reaping the benefits of learning from my mistakes!

Oh yep....I'm out there twice daily carefully inspecting everything and removing anything I DONT want - like weeds/snails/bugs. Right at this moment - I can see a lot of things growing a lot daily and am there reminding "my brood" "This isnt Findhorn you know - you dont HAVE to grow so large so fast....:rotfl:".

Thinks....."Is that plant tapping me on the shoulder asking for a bit more water or food?....."
  • I'm smiling because my dwarf apple tree has produced the first 2 little apples (size of cherries right now).

How old is it out of curiosity. I just wonder as I took delivery of 2 miniature apple trees a couple of weeks ago :)

Sitting in the garden with DH having a tea break, with a our resident Blackbird sitting just above our heads, singing his lungs out at full tilt!

And, finally getting around to transferring our eight tomato plants to their individual tubs.

Big smile - found some wild raspberries growing in a patch I didn't have time to weed earlier in the year!!!! :) I was going to buy some raspberry canes as well and couldn't find the time to dig somewhere to put them. I am so pleased - thank you little birdies for pooing in the right place LOL!
  • I can`t believe how dim i`ve been and just goes to show buying and unlabelled plants from the bargain corner is so much fun. I`ve this lovely white flowering, blue berried bush for about 2 yrs i`ve only just realised is a blueberry bush.I knew it had blue berries but for some reason thought it was unedible berries. I only realised it was a blueberry bush as i bought a very small £2.99 bush from Homebase and have been looking for another one to help it bear more fruits, i put the 2 side by side and the leaves are identical !! :j Am so happy i love blueberries and it has loads on it :rotfl:
